:) I was in an interracial relationship, my ex is caucasian and Im Asian... that relationship went on for 3 years, it didn't end because of the difference in our skin color but the difference in our personality... If you love someone, why would the skin color matter?? Now my parents keeps on telling me that I should get an Asian gf so we can eat the same food... what'd *beep*... Im not going to love someone just because they are going to eat the same food as I do... besides, I love European food :D

Interracial relationships happens all around me, my best mate (guy, caucasian) only likes Asain girl, my other mate (guy, Sri Lankian) is going out with one and so is my other friend... and just to be different I (guy, Asian) likes all European girls ;)

I was in one and it was only hard when we were around her parents, so we stopped being around them :p. It was a normal relationship and longest one I ever had in fact...almost 2 yrs ;). If your in love, your family shouldn't have anything to say. If they can't support you than they weren't much of a family to begin with;).

I'm mixed and I turned out ok. I guess it just depends on the environment he/she is brought up in. I think being bi-racial was a huge plus for me.

Anyway, I wish your sister good luck...she's not just having an interracial baby, shes giving life to someone special ;)

problem is our parents were growin up in a completely different era when they would only hang out with people their own colour, their own religion, their own ethnic background, etc, but now in 2004 (well and years before) we as kids/teenagers/young adults change all of it because what they didnt know and realize and what doesnt bother us is that skin colour, religion, ethnic background doesnt matter and it doesnt change who the person is inside. I guess they had to lived pressured by their parents who were even more narrow minded and then they lived thru all the racial stuff (thx Martin Luther King) that went on and on and all the conflicts between countries (such as Cold War, etc) and it changed their views.

But see we are the future of the world and its up to us to change all this stupid stuff, look inside of our hearts and dont care about skin colour, religion or where the person was born cuz inside we are all the same, we are all human and what matters the most if the person you are inside and not outside

P.S. hopefully that makes sense :)
