Honesty is the best way 99% of the time. Wouldn't finding out the truth lating down the line hurt more?

I think it's usually better to tell the truth in the beggining because it will probabaly hurt more to know that you've been liked to but think about the "good lies" like telling your child that Santa or The easter Bunny exisit.

The truth shall set you free.... :)

I always tell the truth...all the way down to momma's good ole cookin'...if it's not good I'll tell it like it is. If a friend asks how she looks in a dress way too tight....I TELL THEM. I think that's a quality others will love in you.

I feel that is how it should be with EVEYTHING...not just little stuff. The truth is always better...you've heard it before...THE TRUTH HURTS SOME TIMES.

100% Truth. Cause put yourself in their shoes. Would you want to be lied to if you asked something? If you were wearing something and you asked your friend if it suits you. Would you want her to lie and say it does, when it doesn't really at all? Or would you want her to tell you straight forward that she doesn't think so?

I've lied to people about personal things that mean alot to them like paintings. I said they were lovely when it really looked like someone vomited pasta sauce and coffee beans. But if someone's acting inapropriatly then I'll tell them.

Lies are either a ver bueatiful or very evil thing. it depends on the circumstance whether to tell the truth or not..But i recomend the truth. it will hurt more in the future if it is not out in the open sooner.

    I promise you
That telling the truth isn't always easy.
75% of the time, your honesty will make people snap, blow-up, and over all be immature dick heads because it's not what they want to do.
And I guess it makes you ask yourself who you're living for.
So, dearest, who are you living for?
If you're living for you(/like God or something, if you're into that) than you should tell the truth, and do what you secretly know is right, even if this knowledge isn't lying there on the surface waiting to be picked up.
if you're living for someone else, well then, I guess you should get your priorites straight ;)

so I guess ya, it does depend on the situation. The above would be if like you were doing something harmful to yourself or someone else was, or something like that.
If involving a friend, the truth will show you the amount of honesty and trust in the friendship. Not even necessarily by how they react at first (though that too) but by what they do afterwards and whether or not they
    a) be an immature dick head
    b) take it to heart/mind
    c) apologise and move up to maturity AFTER being a little dickwad.

So, I guess in conclusion, I (with the help of alot og PQ members, no doubt :) ) could give you a number of examples and sinerios of truth and honesty, but truth is the way to go.
