Alright so I'm not fat fat, but I'm not skinny either, I'm like in between but I can't wear a bathing suit because I've got that extra baggage I mean like I guess you can call me 'veluptuous' however you spell that, but I still have big legs and a little bit of a 'pouch' on my stomach. I know Im not overweight, but I want to be fit and slimmer.

So...I tried this diet and I was okay for the first 2 days, but then the third day I totally lost it, I was so stressed, depressed and weak I could barely walk up my stairs because my calorie intake was only about 500 a day..

I don't know what to do, should I try to exercise more? I was thinking about weight watchers..Im not sure, any help please?

As far as your diet goes (diet: what you eat, not diet: eating less food), you want to eat less simple carbohydrates and unhealthy meats. Beef and pork products are far more likely to have visceral fat than poultry -- turkey being one of the best. Fish are also good for you as they are relatively low in fat (watch out for sodium intake though).

Definitely cut down on junkfood. I'd recommend peanuts as a relatively healthy snack. They have protein and oils that will make you feel satiated after a bit. I'd also suggest eating 4-5 small meals per day instead of 3 big ones. Meals should be real meals, not just snacks. They should include fruit and vegetables (fresh if possible), and should have some source of protein and a good amount of carbohydrates. Make sure you take your vitamins! =P

Eating correctly is very important. That doesn't mean you should eat LESS, or that you should limit your calories. I'd just suggest eating well.

I'd also suggest, as many people did, exercise. Swimming and running are good cardio exercises, although if you want to pick up an aerobics class (or a martial art) those are really great cardio workouts.

I need to start eating more junk food. I eat so much junk already though so I'll gain weight, But it's just not working :/

But yeah. I agree. Don't stop eating or anything like that. Just eat healthier =)

    natalie,

heh, if you really wanted to gain weight, then starve yourself. Your problem is probably that you have a high metabolism. If you go hungry for a bit, then your metabolism will be forced to slow down. Then eat junk food... you'll gain some weight.

^^Don't actually do that... starving yourself is bad, even if it is to gain weight... Why do you need to gain weight anyway?

Lol! I couldn't starve myself if I tried haha.

But nah, I'm just underweight. I'm 160cm tall.. I think. and, 45Kgs. Lol. Pretty tiny.
