Is it possible to be just friends?

Yeah theres this chick I've been friends with for some time now, But I can definently feel myself falling for her. We kinda talked about going out a bit and she said that it'd never work because we are going to different schools and shyt next fall, but i guess i'm just confused. I dont want to go all out and try to make a relationship, because if it didn't work then we couldn't be friends, but just being friends seems to tear me up from the inside out. Anyone else had situations like this?

Just being friends sucks because of the word 'just'. If there is a qualifer before the word 'friends' like 'just', then you know something is wrong.

well, i've been in this situation before, and the way it happened for me was we ended up going out, but it was way to hard to stay together, and although i loved him, it would've just been better if we had just been friends. the pain of trying to stay together was greater than the pain of trying to get over him.

I did.. Kinda. I fell for my best friend Mitch, But then he told me he was gay =( Lol ..kinda explains why he liked hanging around me so much.

But yeah. I don't really have much advice. But good luck. =)
