I nedd advice VERY badly

Ok so i met this guy and he is AMAZEING but he is 5 years older then me...and i mean we are really close but is it wrong?

My sister is 16 and has been together with a boy for 7 months now and he is also 5 years older, so people might think he is to old, but it also depends on his character, if you both want the same things and he is amazing, why not give a try? in 10 years nobody would notice the difference..

No they don't, I think they actually think of her in a bad way because he is older and also not the good kind of guy, but that's her choice and as long as he treats her good and she's happy with it, I'm happy with it and I don't see a reason for complaining.

It kinda depends on how old you are. Just becuase for certain ages it seems weird and others it doesn't. But I don't think it's wrong.

i think that age should not be a problem in any relationship.. my bf is 1 year younger than me.. i love him and he loves me very much.. we've been together for like ummm 4 years now.. we're planning a LONG TIME RELATIONSHIP.. and of course, marriage soon.. in a relationship, if you're happy with him and if he's happy being with you then that's all that matters.. happiness is the key to all everlasting relationships.. good luck!!

i think its fine.... when i was 18 i was seeing a 29 year old......he was great, no disrespect and never forced me into anything.....

no its not wrong as long as your both under 18 or above 18 years old. its ok and as long as your parents know if your under the age of 18. I really dont know how old you are so yeah. But I liked this guy and I'm only 16 and he's 21. So it would have been wrong because there is dating laws where I live its called something about rape, but I forget what its called. i hope everything works out.

and if he's five years older than you that would make him 20. OR..if you wanted people here to believe he's 5 years older than your 16 year old profile, then that would make him 21.

I know what it's called. I was just explaining what could happen. If you plan on being sexually active with this guy it's going to be considered statutory rape. At your age you shouldn't be having sex anyways. He should be interested in girls his own age. You should know better then to go for a guy that much older.

Woah i think youre all being a bit nasty here...sure its not exactly the best situation to be with someone that much older...but if he makes you happy and he treats you good and doesnt pressure you then i think its ok. I went out with a guy 3 years older than me when i was your age and that lasted a great three years. The only worry is drifting apart because older guys tend to have different priorities eg work or university, so just take it slow and see what happens xx
