Who Am I?

Looking into the mirror,
A strange reflection staring at me.
Something I have never seen.
Can't believe the person they've become,
This person is completely numb.
She can no longer feel a thing,
She doesn't feel the pain.
You can see the sadness in her eyes,
Even though she no longer cries.
Looking again, realizing who this is,
This girl turns out to be me.
Who is this person I've come to be?
Seeming dark and confused,
Everytime I'm only used.
What have I become?
Who am I?

Shine

she told me to shine like the moon and stars, she told me to shine like the sun.
she told me to shine like an angel, told me to shine like shinings never been done.
she told me to shine like i'd won the thing thats most valuble to me.
she told me to shine like i owned the world, like i was happy as can be.
but im not the moon nor stars nor sun.
Nor am i an angel.
i hadnt won the thing thats most valuble to me.
and i dont own the world, im not as happy as can be.
is that what she meant? if so only god can truly shine.
why dont you try to shine?

i just realised my poem sounds weird....i hope its good enough

can i please reserve..'step by step'? :D i have an idea for it

Well i was going to reserve step up but claire beat me to it lol. So can i please have God's will? =) I will write it and post it later.

-Gods' Will-

The bombs of yesterday, pulsing in my ears,
the mechanical soldiers of today, going away for years.
Lives on the line, deaths all around,
slipping in and out of bombs, implanted in the ground.

Cities up in smoke, children fleeing from the empty streets,
warcrafts armed and ready, gathering in fleets.
With a gun slung over his arm, he wipes the sweat off of his brow,
lowers his head in misery, remembering his vow.

Fighting for his country, a man of honor,
tears falling down, encrusting to his armor.
He gets down on his knees, prays to the almighty lord,
and as he said "Amen", the skies heavily roared.

Planes falling from every which way he turned,
pilots up in smoke, falling as they burned.
Lives are ending, hearts are slain,
and he remembered his words so vain.

He told his wife and kids he'd return again someday,
and now for his family, he did pray.
he sprints across the field, running for his life,
and at the bang, all he heard was the voice of his wife.

She told him she loved him, and she would see him again,
But the only place she saw him was the news on channel ten.
Her eyes shot open, her heart skipped a beat,
her husband had just died in defeat.

She took the kids to her sisters, told her to take care of them for a while,
kissed them all good-bye with but one last smile.
She went home and layed upon her bed,
took her husbands' gun, and put it to her head.

The tears rolled down, as her eyes shut tight,
and she knew in no time that everything would be alright.
For thy heavenly father, in all of his grace,
will rejoin the lovers, with a smile on his face.

And written in blood, was her good-bye,
to her children who could see her in the sky.
Heaven gained another angel today, one by the name of Jill,
and it all came together, with the help of Gods' will.

Shine

I watch them taunt my being,
But I was somehow above this,
The names, rumours. Torture.
And somewhere I found bliss,

I watch them laugh and gag,
At the things I'd say and do,
I know it was meant to kill me,
But what killed was all from you,

They're ugly and I hate them,
She points to my scars,
I felt the Earth beneath me,
With the piercing of my stars,

I let it fall beneath me,
Forgave her every word,
Even though it broke my heart,
I pretend it wasn't heard,

The clock had circled round again,
This time she hates her gift,
A tear I crushed from my eye,
But this time it will not lift,

It kills me all inside,
When she's with the guy I know,
I have no explanation why,
But this pain I shall not show,

Only because I am her friend,
And she is the best of best,
Only because I won't hurt her,
My smiles are at a rest,

So the sun shall bleed to me,
And I know I shine for her,
Then I know I'm dying,
But to her it won't occur.

It's not the things inside
that erge me to break
It's those lies that i hear
that always keep me awake

With a tear falling down
amongst this bed of rocks
your lies only hidden
by a bunch of golden locks

But step by step
i will get through this pain
of holding your lies
but never holding YOU again

Is she what you wanted
all of this time?
were all these lies
just a crooked sign?

Have you ever heard
that truth is all you need?
It's like a rose needing water
to grow up from a seed

But step by step
i'm finding my way
although my tears fall down
every night and every day

i need you to gide me
on my way to hope
i cant make it up this hill
Life's turned into a slope

Strangled by your love
i weep at my sight
how could lies do this?
when everything was right

But step by step
im keeping a grip
although i know suddenly..
im just going to slip
