is it wrong to cut ?
why and why not

everyone posts about cutting, and, you know, it's not the ONLY proof of being sad in any way. Cutting is not OK, it is not WRONG either. Obviously, there should be better ways to solve things. Of course, for some people, there is NO other solution. If someone cuts, things are wrong with the person, but I am so tired of people on P&Q telling each other how stupid and pathrtic it is. YES it is stupid, and, yes, it IS pathetic. I'm sure all cutters realize that, and to have someone shoving their own stupidity and self hatrid in their face is JUST as stupid and pathetic. I know someone will post about how I dumb, and I'm just a kid, and I don't know anything. The fact is, loves, I do know what I am saying. And these people are not helping in any way. Seriously, THINK about what you are doing. THINK about how your words can hurt someone. If you don't have any HELPFUL advice, if you want to speak your opinion, then POST IT ON ANOTHER THREAD. It's not right and it's not helping anyone but yourself. There are more important things then your own self pleasure in seeing someone hurt.

no it is not wrong to cut but it is not the best thing thing in the world to do i understand that at times it is hard and you feel like cutting is the only way to let out all your pain but just think about all the peolple that love you and don't want any thing to happen to you

People complain to much. Stop thinking about all the shit that goes on, and think about the good. Make it better. If you complain you are bring yourself down and others. So Grow up. Life goes on for those who deserve it.

it is not wrong for those who believe it is not wrong. And as for those who said that cutters dont deserve to live, well, what makes you think YOU do? you are no better then them. you are made of the same material, bones,blood. they have as much a reason to live or not to live as anyone else so STFU. if you dont have something good or helpful to say, then just dont say anything. its as easy as that.

I don't think its wrong, but its not right.

well, in my opinion, self-harm IS wrong. But don't just think about cutting. Stuffing yourself with junk-food and ruining your figure, that's self-harm and that's wrong, because you have a choice. You truly do.

Depending the way you look at it, having your ears pierced is self-harm. But the difference is that you are doing it with the idea that it is beautiful, and you want to wear earrings.
Cutting with a razor, on the other hand, is done with the idea (I presume) that it will make the cut the source of all the pain, instead of your heart, or your nervous system...

So, at the end, it's sort of more symbolic...

And personally I would not do it because I have a bit of esteem for myself, and scars aren't my favorite accessory.

it's just annoying me how everyone is thinking cutting is good... it's a horrible thing, and after you recover from depression you realize how useless it is. i'd advise you that if you ever feel like using a blade, dont. at worst, use a credit card... but never use a blade... i advise markers...
