What makes a horror movie really scary for you?

For me it's if in the beginning they say it's a "True Story" or like "This actually happened...", and like if there's a little kid in it. And when the little kid whispers something (Like in all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies with the little kids who jump rope and sing that song), or if they know something the adults don't and they make that clear.

yes.. that scares me too.. but movies with someone that has a scary face ( like the ring) that just sticks in my head is scary. Oh, and gory stuff, like people eating people (The hills have eyes, GROSS!). I dont know, I'm scared of everything.

It's the stupid pop-up parts that get to me, every time. I love it though hehe. Oh and Jason movies, or Leatherface, any of them. They all creep me out.

I still haven't seen any of the Jason movies

I like horror movies that are really eerie and have a storyline and don't just use blood and gore to scare you. I liked the Japanese versions of The Ring and The Grudge and Eraserhead and A Tale Of Two Sisters

Oh yah, the old Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies are way better than the new one. Classic.

I really loved the ring, but the american version is quite scarier than the japanese ones, I think. I really liked feardotcom! That movie scared me like hell! that little girl :o omg.. :o she was scary! :o so I guess I agree with you guys when you say little kids in horror movies are scary. They are, yes they are :o
