Hi, I'm just wondering, can I complain about a comment if the majority of it is just the reviewer asking for me to comment their work?
E.G. 'Nice poem, now please read rate and comment on mine.'
    I really hate this!

Complaints SHOULD be from rude or uncalled for comments in my opinion, I mean the whole "I loved it read mine" requests arent that bad... just dont act on them...theres a suggestion.

I personally would only complain about nasty and vulgar comments otherwise I wouldnt bother wasting my time and nor should you!

What's wrong with asking someone to read their poetry? Be greateful that they took the time to read yours: you are not obliged to read theirs.

Absolute comedy genius. According to my Mum it was Spike and Michael Bentine that first made me laugh on TV. And I've been obsessed by comedy ever since.

Ariana, to address the issue, the problem is that alot of people are just "fishing" when they leave a review/comment on the poem.

The real problem is that there are just far too may comments like: "Hey, great poem, 5/5, please read and rate mine." This is fishing and it is unconstructive, one wonders if the person actually even read the poem at all?

You can't complain about it as they have not been rude.

I am amazed at the number of 5/5s that are just so. I read them and almost always think "Actually, this is barely a 2." But then I never leave anything so bad unless I back it up with an explanation of how I feel about the poem itself.

Yes this is what I was wondering about. I'm sure alot of people simply leave these comments without actually reading the piece itself. But as you say, if it's not rude I cannot complain. Thanks for clearing that up :)
