The Somme

This weekend marked the 90th anniversary of the Battle of The Somme. I was wondering if anyone had written anything to commemorate it, but I don't know how to search for war poetry without searching specific keywords. I tried "Somme" and "trench" but apart from the following there really isn't much on the topic, it seems.

    Here's the ones I found:
    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/dark/poems.php?id=289029
    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/sad/poems.php?id=506184
    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/life/poems.php?id=77993

    And mine:

If anyone can point me to other WW1-related poetry I'd apprciate it.

I am actually quite appalled that you DON'T know what it's in reference to.

But since lots of people are reading it but not actually voting or commenting: it is a poem to commemorate the memory of the soldiers that died in the first Battle of the Somme in World War One. There are believed to be just ten of them still living.

One day they will all be gone, and it will be left tho their children, and their children's children, to pass the horrors and lessons of that conflict on.

And I don't intend to ever stop passing it on.
