Don't get it

yes that confuses me soooo much too...it seems that all of the top-rated love poems are all very short and sloppy indeed. I don't know about you but I like a good fairly long (as in like more than just 2 or 3 stanzas) poem w/a clear form and I don't mean that it has to rhyme, it just has to seem to have some structure and not just be sloppy and all over the place. So saying, I don't care too much for all of the recently top-rated love poems, mostly just for the fact that it seems that almost all of them are real short. So yeah I don't get it either. O_o

Well I hope I didn't come across as saying a poem has to be long to be good. I too have read short poems that I found to be excellent, I'm just saying that I prefer long ones because then I truly believe that they put a bit of thought and work into it (unless its really sloppy of course) and I don't tend to get that feeling from quite a few short poems, I just kinda get the feeling that they might not have really put much work or thought into it at all. Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that all short poems suck or that if you wrote one you didn't put just as much thought and time into it that someone who has written a long one because, well that isn't true. Just saying I just don't seem to prefer most short poems is all.

I'm new to this site so i haven't read as much poetry on this site as most of you but i totally understand what you mean. I've read ok poems with high ratings and quite a few n then great poems with either few or not as high rated. I'm slightly confused too. My poems have been rated fairly high but i only have a few....

I came here and decided to share my poems so that other people could see inside of me, and the best ones are the ones no one wants to vote or comment or even read!! It has to say explict for people to want to really read one! And though I have a few, only because I felt they were more personal than just the Love section would welcome, it seems people more just want to read poems than give an opinion...check out my only quote on that note! And I've posted a few topics in here and only one person took a look at that!! As for long or short poems, I'm a short poem girl. My thougths seem to get out enough in the short ones! I mainly came here to read and love poetry though...I think I'm not alone there?!
