Want to join a new club? Getting bored of your current one?

I've just created a new club called "Magic and Rhythm" because I was getting bored of my old club and wanted to create one myself.

description:
This is a club for serious poets, of any age, willing to offer honest critique in exchange for receiving it. Any form of poetry is acceptable as long as the poet loves their work enough to welcome honest and constructive criticism. Any poet can improve on some level, no matter how good they think they might be; this is what this group is about. To aid improvement there will be regular poetry critique exchanges on offer as well as group poetry contests to get your creative mind in gear. Club members are also welcome to post tips to help other poets improve. To join all you need to do is love poetry and accept/offer constructive criticism.

requirements:
*Write serious and original poetry
* Enjoy receiving constructive criticism
* Give constructive criticism in return
* Want to improve and help others improve.
* Want to have fun and join in with club activities.

All I ask is that club members are friendly and thoughtful to other poets work and feelings.

I'll happily join. I recently quit a club because of what I felt were extremely negative attitudes to individuals and the site in general by the "major players", so I'd be happy to join and help out in any way I can.

I can't join as as an assistant because I don't have enough thingummies.

The title says it all, it's like saying "I'm sick of my present relationship, so I'll get a divorce." Surely you can't expect anything from any relationship if you never put any effort in from day one, hahaha.

I did try in other groups, but no one answered my suggestions seriously or took part in a contest I once started. Therefore, I assumed there was no point trying anymore because I don't want to be made fun of!
Sure I can take a joke, but not when I'm talking about something serious to me.

SJ: Simon is referring to me as an ex-CC&P member.

I left because I didn't like the behaviour and attitude of a proportion of the members over a recent site-related incident that I think we're all done discussing. I bear no grudge against anyone from that group and I wish them all well. But it's not for me, that was quite clear. :-)

It's like choosing a pub to drink in: it's not the ale, it's the atmosphere!

It's ok don't worry about it. How did I expect other people to notice or take me serious enough to join my club? It's just like always, oh well.

Yeah! That's a good point - I only have a bronze, and I've been hear slightly longer than you.

kara... you've been here a very long time, but i notice you only have a bronze award for comments. take a look at some of the poeple who are the favorites and you might see why they are noticed

I'm not bothered about not being noticed really. I know I should comment more, I just never get round to it. I should also probably write some more poems..
