Long distance love

hey all,
what do you think of 2 people meeting over the internet and falling in love? do you think it is possible to love someone you have never met? i am kinda in this situation and i dont know what to do...please help...

erm- i think it's possible:) yeah, i met some really great people here and i could be in the same situation. but who am i to know what love is? i mean, really- i'm 13 and i'm guessing it's just a crush...maybe. right? ;)

yes, i'm sure it's possible to love someone you have never met, or never in person. i mean you just don't look at them and experience "love at first sight". you get to know them right? it's their personality (or poetry?) that pulled you to them.

yes, it's possible but you can't be too sure. i don't know what you can do as of now but as long as it's safe and you're not doing anything dangerous or something, then... go fall in love;) again... and again... and again... if you feel like you trust that certain someone then obey your heart:)

I think distance relationships are not the best idea... ya cant touch/feel the person, ya cant hug them, kiss them, look into their eyes... its too easy to lie when you are not with that person... I dunno... its just hard, period

well being 16 i don't know how well a long distance relationship over the internet would work out. I mean how would you see each other? WIthout the compassion and touch of your lover the realtionship kinda sizzles out. If you want to have a relationship over the net i have nothing against that at all hell that is where i met my husband. I'm just saying at your age you can find someone around where you live you would probley be much happier for the time being.

wow thanks everyone...i wasnt sure if it was possible to love someone you have never really met...but that is the situation i am in right now.

I met a guy when I was 13 over the internet... he was the first guy that I ever had real feelings for and it tore me apart. I have to be honest and say it messed with me emotionally, since then I've neve rbeen the same. But everyone has their opinions, I would just encourage people not to get romantically attatched over the internet... or if you are going to, wait until you're old enough to take care of yourself.

I guess I can't be totally against it, because that guy is still a really good friend of mine. And one of my parents' friends met in a Christian chatroom and... they ended up getting married and their marriage is going so great! So I don't know... I guess I have mixed emotions about it.

One thing though... if you're going to get involved with someone over the internet... BE CAREFUL! =)

ya i understand what you mean but this guy is sooo totally amazing. i am being really careful not just because of the creaps out there but also because guys have a habbit of breaking my heart...so thank for the reply

I have a long ditace relationship myself, and i am madley in love with my boyfriend he means the world to me! And long distace relationships do work! it doesnt really matter wether or not you can spend time, holding his/her hand, or kissing or what ever, alls that should matter if you are truley in love is that you have eachother in your hearts! and at times it may be really hard not being able to spend time with them, but eventually you get used to it! the only thing is you have never met...how do you know this person is who they say they are? there is so weird people out there, see i have met my boyfriend, but i dont advice you meeting this person, and even if they send you pictures they might just be of people off the internet! So i dunno long distace does work, but yo have to have faith in yourself! I dont know you but i just wanna say be safe about it ok!
