God or Evolution?

To believe that god came before evolution could seem to be common sense however without dismissing the theory that evolution evolved without a God could also seem justified....but how could evolution ever taken place without a higher being to have pushed it forward?

My beliefe is that God/higher being had to have existed for evolution to have evolved....

    how about you?
    what do you think?

Personally i'm more science inclined, and believe that there is such a power in the universe, whatever you name it (gaia, god, Jehovah) then it came after evolution as it had to come from somewhere, and is most likely just an extrememly high form of evolution. I know i may be hated for this, due to strong beliefs, but thats the way i see it.

I don't believe in the evolution theory, or the creation theory.

Evolution works for me. It's called natural selection and has been proven, therefore I believe it.

"I don't believe in the evolution theory, or the creation theory"

    What do you believe then?

    I don't know. I haven't heard a theory that I really agree with, so I really just don't know.

and I'm somewhat coming up with my own theory... right now if I told anyone it'd sound pretty stupid, but it's a work in progress.

I believe that GOd created the evolution. In evolution it explain how the world devolp but not how it started. But i don't think god created the world in one week, i think there might be a time difference with the world and god.

I think it's fair to say that the universe was always here, and we simply have no concept of that by our own mortal failings. Evolution's pretty obviously genuine otherwise there'd be no DNA. But we needed the whole concept of God to get us out of the caves, and as a consequence God was always (and always will be) with us, to guide us. Without Him we would never have moved from the Nile Delta with the confidence we did. There would have been no Judea. There would have been no England, and consequently no America. There would be no Grand Canyon, no civil liberties and no freedom of expression. Without Him there would be no nuclear fission, no sarin, no Grand Theft Auto, no AIDS and: most importantly: no LOVE.

And no, we're not done evolving. And we're not done experiencing the wonders God set up for us. We're just restricting ourselves in the belief that The Bible/Quran/etc. is the be-all and end-all of our constant struggle to achieve the impossible and attain a state of Being that will make our descendants look back and thank us for our initiative, our vision, our inhumanity, and our philosophy.

"Well what if you don't actually believe in God?"

It doesn't matter. You have every right to not believe in God. Just as those that DO believe in the miltitude of Gods around this little planet have the right to believe in theirs. Because you're right: in your own conscious being there is no God.

    Belief is subjective.
