Concerned...

I'm really concerned about my Aunt. She's had 2 boyfriends over the past 3 years and both were abusive. Each time I met them I got a really weird vibe from them, and I'm usually very good at reading people.
The first guy hit her and threatened her, and ended up doing other stupid stuff and going to jail. Of course she has a restraining order against him now. The second guy she has a son with, and he started drinking and left him alone and he fell down a bunch of stairs and is now in a full body cast (he's 2).
Now my Aunt has a new boyfriend, and I'm getting the same vibe from him. He seems like a very nice guy, and good for her. But something about him doesn't seem right. And he doesn't have a history of being violent as far as we all know.

So I'm not sure if I should say something to someone who also knows him, or if I should just keep my mouth shut.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin...thats so sad.

But anyway, I think you're just being protective of your aunt, and you have a good reason to be. You don't want to see her get hurt again, but if he seems like a nice guy and doesn't have any record, then maybe you should keep quiet for a while and give him a chance, see what happens. Obviously, your aunt is a smart woman for leaving the 2 previous boyfriends, so you need to trust that she'll be able to take care of herself in this situation too.
