what is poetry to you?

well to me its everything it shows how you feel sympicthetcily( sorry can't spell it ) anyway it shows your emotiona nd the way you feel. also by reading a wirters work you can tell what there personality is like. i find it iteresting in a way but im just wondering if im right? please correct me if i am wrong!

Poetry, to me, is sails without a yacht. It's tea with no sugar when you asked cheesecake. It's cold water when you expect hot, and it's bodypopping at a tramp's wake.

Poetry to me is a way to express your emotions and feelings. I can sort of tell by reading Poems what that person's personality is like aswell.

poetry for me is a cure of evrything it makes my feelings better in poetry i can express what i feel that i cant say. a poetry is a type of letter in a form of poem lol poetry is my hobbies lol

To me poetry is a way to express myself for who I really am. I have no need to hold back in poetry. Chances are the people I know will never read it (Except Logan and my Dad) so I have no fear. Logan promises not to crtisice, or tell people at school stuff I don't want them to know, and my Dad is really proud of me. In poetry, I can tell people stuf I can't say.

poetry is alot to me, some people express their feeling in painting,drawing,singing,ect.
but to me i like saying what i feel the truth . and in poetry i can because no one is expecting alot from you. the simplest sentence can mean so much to someone. an you get to be creative,challange your mind to think beyond what you know

Poetry is a type of way for me to let my emotions out...before i would be really rebellious and mean but then i found that poetry really helps me deal with everything im going through...

its the one place where io can say anything and not be criticised

To me poetry is personal....it is my way of dealing with my demons, showing my emotions, releasing what is inside and sharing with others perspectives on life.

personal explosion of thought, its my life, thoughts or otherwise that is leaving me boiling and teeming. it helps me understand my world and urges a deeper, more detailed soliloquy (personal rant) of my mind. i dunno, it just makes me feel more realxed and understanding of my surroundings, and the artful expressions of imagery help my creative-ness

i do agree with roxy you can find out so much about a person and its really scary if you keep checking back at someones work you can actually tell whats happing in thier lifes atm but yes poetry mean so much to me i can loose myself in it and when i look back att all my stuff i have so many memories wrritten down im so glad i did =]
