You're a very good writer, but Julie is right with the money part. Nowadays its very hard to live on just writing. I would suggest finding a good steady career to start you out and in your spare time you can pursue your writing. Who knows, you might win a poetry contest and strike it big. Just be careful of your choices, some people out there con you into taking your money for your poems rather than give you money for them. |

Well, English class is where poetry is taught, so definately you'd do well in that field. Don't let others comments turn off your spark. Some people would rather pick at the small things then rejoice the big ones!! Sadly, I know. I've gotten a comment on one of my poems about spelling, then the commenter misspelled a word themself!! Had to laugh at that!! My advice, build a strong porfolio of your poems, short stories and such and follow your dream. W/ your talent, certainly no college or publisher could turn you down...don't forget newspapers or magazines as well!! |
