I'm sure it happened to some people, and if it did I would like to hear your opinion on friendships that slip away because they get into relationships

I once had the best of friend in this guy. We did everything together...it was so unbelievable, and we told everything to eachother. He was so different, and I always felt he would never break away from me if he got into a relationship, but it was the exact opposite. In the time I needed him the most, he got a girlfriend, and slowly stopped calling and seeing me. If I ever spoke to him, all he could tell me was how wonderful she was. I wasn't jealous because I want him to be happy, but I couldn't help but think how she stole his friendship away from me. It's not fair. It's been a month and I miss him so much...should I get intouch with him, or leave him to go his way...

I've had this happen. Trust me. It hurts. A lottttttt. But, I mean, you should keep in contact with him. I loved the guy, and now he's off happy with another girl [sigh]. But yeah. Don't be dumb like I was. Keep hold onto your friends.

Jealousy is natural. She's getting something you've held onto for a while, and it's normal to not like it. It really is. But, keep in contact with him. Tell him you'll always be there for him. =) It'll mean the world to him, trust me.

    I didn't help much, did I?

You were actually a great help! I was thinking the same thing...I will be the better person and stay intouch, at least I'll still have a part of him with me if I do so. Thanks!

I had a really good guy friend me and his now ex were great friends i helped him when he broke his colar bone and she didn't mind me helping him then a week later he started spreading rumors about her what she did to him and none of it was true. Then he hooked up with this chick and well she said all I do is stock him and what him for his money and I call him all the god dang time which I don't because we haven't talked now since Dec.29 his birthday at a event and she said don't ever talk to him again so I haven't and our friendship has fallen so far down its unbeliveable and he was gonna come to my 16th birthday but he said he can't because she isn't allowed to come so our friendship is a NO MORE.

    Its me

she's jealous. i just hope she isn't brainwashing him, cuz it sounds like it. tell her that he's ur friend and u have a right to be his friend. and tell ur friend that u miss him a lot and still want to hang out n stuff

yup thats happened to me and honestly..I feel that if my best friend has the balls to ditch me for a man...then I have the balls to not be here when she does want to call me...I don't think thats right at all..You can't call someone a best friend and then when you get a man/girl ditch them, thats not a best friend and if they don't realize that then its not to just let go..I learned the hard way and am doing better then ever
