    Secrets
    by J. Lau

    Thoughts and feelings, never shared;
    Words unspoken, never dared.
    Through writing, we found peace;
    Sympathetic readers, will never tease.
    Heartfelt emotions, freely expressed;
    Frustrated feelings, slowly released.
    Wishful dreams, here to stay;
    Painful memories, washed away.
    All these poems, hidden pain;
A secret it is, they remain.

Since I dont know if they have to be new or if they can be older I just decided to write a new one!

    The Scars Never Fade

She watches it slowly fall to the ground,
    Stares at her weakness,
Not wanting to have to deal,
Just the hope for escape floods her mind,

    The glass is shattered,
She knows the edges are sharp,
Sharp enough to cut through skin,
    Sharp enough to release pain,

Running her finger over the edges,
She feels for the sharpest pieces,
    Knowing this action is wrong,
    Her pre-existing scars being proof,

Carefully she takes her prize to hide,
Putting them away until her time of need,
Others are discarded, being too dull for their purpose,
They need to cause enough pain to numb emotion,

Looking up- her eyes start to sting,
The tears come with power and force,
They sweep over her body all at once,
One after another drop like the one before it,

This situation is all too known to her,
But no matter how much she wants to forget,
No matter how faded the memories become,
She can never escape her past,

The scars will always be there to remind her,
Of who she used to be,
    They will never fade,
Never completely release her from her addiction---

    Rest in Pieces
    [Glosa]

The shattered night lays death to rest,
At the kiss of the razors blood impressed.
Tonight the heavens and hell will collide
    In this child's suicide.

The burning lights of a blackened sky,
Pours down suffering from evil's eye
Upon the world deaf to the depressed,
The shattered night lays death to rest.

A grave dug deep by little hands,
Her white dress covered in tainted dark sands.
The reaper of souls will be there on request,
At the kiss of the razors blood impressed.

Nothing to give in sacrifice for peace.
No words she spoke to Allah for release.
The judgement was made, not hers to decide,
Tonight the heavens and hell will collide.

The poison runs through her soul fresh,
Like acid onto her weak, starved flesh
Running through her veins, she can not hide
    In this child's suicide.

    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Glosa (or Glose) Poetry is a form of poetry where the first short stanza (called cabeza or texte) states the theme of the poem and is followed by one stanza for every line of the cabeza. Each of the stanzas repeat the line of the cabeza as the stanza's final line in corresponding order.

The cabeza can either be your own or from another poet. As long as the above rules are applied there may be any rhyme scheme and number of lines applied.

    Their Love

She grasps at these so not very foreign ideas.
Realizing know that they've always known, what
Goes on behind these closed eyes and doors.
Keeping this secret, they somehow look past it!

How do they sleep with themselves,
Knowing but never stopping, knowing but
Never talking, knowing but never really
Caring what happens to their only child?!

A slice here, a dice there, a cut deep enough
To let it all, everything at once, flow out!
Out of her skin so swiftly, that she falls into
A dark circle, if only for a minute, it relives it!

Relives the pain, this sliver rusted blade now
Her only true confidante, the one she can
Share with her thoughts, emotions, ideas,
And never once does her friend criticizes her.

Nobody really understanding what goes on
Behind these white solid oak doors.
Nobody ever really cared about it either!

So infatuated with everything else but
This lost blonde-haired, so confused and lost
Not so very innocent young lady, who spent her
Youth and innocence oh so very quickly!

She used it to her advantage, always
Searching for love and a fix, never in
The right places, maybe she didn't want it to be.
Guessing that one more time wouldn't hurt!

Every drug imaginable, she's done them, every
Drink yea she's tried it, every guy in this small
Town she's probably done too! But yet they still
Don't notice that their love is causing her end!

Into a tower where dazzling crystals lined the walls
Shadows of people drifting in the stillness of time
A glass elevator centered in the room calls
Its sound stretching in echos of a chime

Her Heart throbs as the sky approaches near
Her fingers firmly upon the window plane
Licking away her cascading, suffering tears
She peer into the world in front with a quiet pain

Jagged rocks line the white beaches below
luscious Water battling the dangerous shores
she laid on her back to enjoy this last tranquil show
Readying herself to close her final living doors

With a push of button, she wavered from the air
Just a step to death, to renew herself with dreams
It was time to split the sadness she shared
Into the illusions, she thrust herself with death's streams

    ~Postpartum Deport~

A relationship bound by the court,
    two parents yearning to abort.
    One child's postpartum deport,
a life, from the start, out of sorts.

The help of two elders, they sought,
    a custody battle, never fought.
    Drug addict parents, got caught,
    important lessons, never taught.

A baby that was left behind,
    consequences of a legal bind.
A lifestyle of a different kind,
    viewpoints from a distorted mind.

A family separated by years in time,
a life with a different rhythm and rhyme.
Two people, making up for another's crime,
always living off of their last dime.

A difficult situation from the start,
a unique picture, of an unpopular art.
    A family, nearly torn apart,
two grandparents, certainly, off the charts.

An unwanted boy, now full grown,
held together by seams, left un-sewn.
Approaching life with a whole different tone,
hoping, some day, to live life on his own.

    Too Late

    She sits all alone
    Huddled up in despair
Tears are rolling down her face
Her hope is leaving with each tear

    She wonders what she's done
    To deserve this cruel fate
    She sits there misunderstood
When help comes it'll be too late

She takes the blade in her hand
Watches it gleam in the light
Slowly she raises it to her throat
Knowing she'll kill herself this night

    Later on they'll find her
    And realize their mistake
They could have helped this girl
    But now it's too late

    If Only(Song)
    by XxXLaurenxXx

    Outside she's smiling,
    Joyful and warm.
    Inside she's screaming,
    Dejected and torn.

    She's freezing cold,
    She's on her own,
    No one to help her,
    She's all alone.

    Inside she's dying,
    Her world's falling apart.
    Outside she's lying,
    Fabricating from the start.

No one to stand beside her,
Seems like no one was there,
    Feeling so helpless,
    Nobody ever cared.

    If only someone,
    Verified her lies.
    If only someone,
    Looked into her faded eyes.

    If only someone,
    Looked behind her sullen mask.
    If only someone,
    Had the decency to ask.

    America the Great
    by †!♪~*`Bryce Dressler`*~♪!†

    The united states of America
is just one of a kind.
    Where everyone is stereotypical
and looks come before the mind.

    People living in the streets
    eating out of trash cans.
    Rushing into another war
without a shred of a plan.

    To serve and protect
    America the beautiful.
Behind the brave eyes of soldiers
    is a family so fearful.

"Red white and blue to the death"
    is an American soldiers pledge.
Yet our country so heartless and cruel
    pushes them over the edge.

A country where a vice president
can get a pardon or pass
for shooting someone in the face
because it looked like a ducks ass.

    We look down upon drugs
cocaine, marijuana, and so on said.
Yet rather than electing a war veteran
    we elect a crackhead instead.

    Then we elect him again
    for another four years
after he took us into a war unnecessary
    and drove families to tears.

A country where kids are lost
    because of domestic abuse,
    parents ignoring their problems
    of alcohol and drug overuse.

How can you be so proud
    of a country thats feared
that has driven other countries into the ground
over the last ten to twelve years.

People being shot again and again
in this country America the great.
And after all is said and done
    the criminal gets to recriminate.

    God bless the day
    when we can finally see
    the stupidity and foolishness
that we don't see on TV

    America the great
    or so it is called.
    Our foolishness and stupidity
    shall be our downfall.

    Graduation 2006.

Graduation, a time for laughter and tears,
    Remembering all the memories
    Over the last ten years.

    It's graduation day,
    And we're finally here.
    There's still more to experience,
And a lot more to fear.

    Ten years of our lives
    Went by so fast,
    It's hard to imagine
That it will all be in the past.

    We won't forget the memories,
    All the wonderful days
    We'll cherish them forever
And move right on our way.

And this is a bittersweet time
Filled with the happy and sad
We're moving on so fast now,
But we won't forget our grad!

It has been a long awaited year.
    Graduation would be the best.
We would soon leave our school.
But how can we forget the rest?

    But our teachers have faith
    That we'll be just fine
    After all, they taught us
    It's our time to shine.

To be the leaders that we are
And to take what we know
    Challenge bigger obstacles
And we'll soon start to grow.

    We've become a close class
There are times we won't forget.
But you take the good with the bad
So there are times we regret.

    Some of us are sad
    And some are quite relieved
    Our times together are over,
    As our diplomas are received

But our lives are just beginning
And our fate is ours to choose.
    We can't control the obstacles.
But it's our choice to win or lose.

    So we'll down these halls
    Just one last time
    Knowing that this place
    Will never be far behind.

As we flip through the pages
    And remember the past
    We know we won't forget
Cause it has been a blast!

The time has come for us
    The Class of 2006
To see what life has in store for us
    But we can only predict!

She watches as they slowly, lower the casket,
Wishing she had never told him to take that shortcut.
If it wasn't for her yelling, he'd still be alive,
As she goes back into her memory archive.

Back in high school, when they first met,
He asked her out, because it was a bet.
Then he realized, money didn't matter,
He didn't care who knew, for he loved her.

They were only freshman, yet madly in love,
They had maturity far up and above-
the rest. Then at 18, he popped the question,
"Will you marry me", and "yes" was her reaction.

Now she cries, after 5 years of marriage,
She wishes more than anything to give him one last message.
That's she sorry, and she loves him more than anything,
She will miss him, and don't worry, he'll always mean something.

The priest then states, "He died in a car,
As he, and his wife, drove to the local bar.
She said, take a shortcut, because it's getting late,
Because tonight was special, since their child, their first date.

A drunk from the bar, must've not seen them,
Because he hit the car, and the car went in flames in mayhem.
Luckily for us, the wife got away,
As we can see, he didn't, that's why were here today."

He says a little pray now, as all throw in roses,
As in his coffin, he eternally snoozes.
All the guest go home, except for his wife,
She says goodbye, he was the love of her life.

"Goodbye, my darling Husband, I've known you so long,
I'm sorry that this happened, I was so wrong.
I'll really miss you, I'll never forget about you,
Goodbye honey, I hope you still love me too."

    The Children of Yesterday

    The river,
    she flows.
    Sparkling in the sun.
    Foam splashes up
    like that of the mouth
    of a rabid dog.
    Beneath the surface:

An infinite value of lives cry with hapiness -
    "We are the children,
    the product of your utopia."

    The children,
    they live.
    Worrying about nothing.
    They do not understand.
Like the man who has a
blissful life - all expenses paid.
    Beneath the surface:

    The children sing -
    "We are the children,
    the product of your utopia."

    The beauty,
    she swims.
Her body glistens in the sun,
    just like the river herself.
    Graceful, elegant, beautiful
    like the swan.
    She bathes,
    unbothered by her worries.
And as she becomes one with infinity:

    She sings the chorus -
    "We are the children,
    the product of your utopia."

    She's beautiful as always
    With flowers in her hair
    To everyone around her
It seems shes free of care

    As she walks the hallways
    Her perfect smile gleams
    Inside everything's a blur
She fights to keep her dreams

    Her gorgeous eyes they gaze
As they hold back the tears
    She secretly falls apart
    Not telling her unsuspecting peers

Flawless body hasn't eaten in days
    They just think she's pretty
She's failing like her broken heart
Most insecure girl in the city

She stares in the mirror upset
    Disgusted with what she sees
    They've been wanting her forever
But all she can notice is displease

    She's never known perfection yet
She's just dealing with the pains
But her outfits as beautiful as ever
    Complete with red stains...

    Waves
    by Sarah

Waves so big, come crashing down.
    Waves contain, Pain all around.
Some days, calm before the storm
Much sorrow has become the norm

    Water bears a different connotation
    Bearer of this desperation
Drift silently in the murky expanse
    undetected from a looking glance

    Free, only to be re-confined
    Amoungst nature, intertwined
    Far from that massive pond
    Forever it cut our bond

    Waves so big, cascading down
A heart no longer makes a sound
Ups and Downs, keeps one guessing
    Expressing, stressing & repressing

    This damage, Ironic to relate
To what was your untimely fate
    Water holds so much more
then his body on the ocean floor

Ride the waves as there is no choice
Some days water will douse this voice
Other days may be like life before
An alternative existance to now explore

    Wings of a vampire
    by Silhouette, of something unimaginable

    The cold dark shadow
    floats across the ground
    a flicker, then gone.
    high above
    something no one knows
    foreign to all,
    his silent flight
    sends him traveling
to any home he may find,
    a maiden awaiting,
    inviting him in
    only to shriek in fear
    as he pierces their skin
    sending chills up the spine
    he flees the awakening,
    and the mortals hurry,
    but to slowly,
    for he is gone

    a dream,
    only moon light touching

    A stabbing pain,
    A foreign breath,
    A new cry out,
    A shattered chest.
    Waiting and watching,
    Crying and screaming,
    Silence of heart,
    And broken dreaming.
    Brought to and front,
    By caressing touch,
    Trickling down,
    A beauty too much.
    Lost and alone,
    Staggered and cold,
    Tears and shadows,
    With lost hold.
    Blood and dagger,

This misconception of a perfect world,

A disaster is what she really is,
The journey of life shouldn't be like this.
The path she has chosen was one of a kind,
Not exactly what her parents had in mind.
She was supposed to be perfect, supposed to be nice,
Now the pushed her so far, they had to pay the price.
She took her own way, the life she never had,
She never looked back, never felt bad.
She chose to live, chose to take a breath,
She chose to live her life, until her ending death.

Staring out the window, as she tries to
Loose her soul, only this time in a
Different place than last, because it was
Found too quickly for her likening.
She wants you to be her Secret Keeper!

    Throwing her glance toward you,
She motions to her next move, as if to
Ask your opinion, wanting to seek
Your approval in all she does.

With every newly created thought and plan, she
Pours her soul into it, expecting to be found.
But wanting to hide from everyone, even herself.
Occasionally wanting to end this game they call life...
She wants you to be her Secret Keeper!

She faces the questioning stares and faces
Daily, just tell them what they want to hear
And believe in their perfect world. Hide her well, And Keep her soul, heart, and secrets safe.
She wants you to be her Secret Keeper!

Push the stares away, hide her deep
Within every fiber of your being, but don't
Get too close, because she will have to
Kill every thought and fear she lent to you.
She wants you to be her Secret Keeper!

    With Closed Eyes, She Sleeps
    By: Twisted Heart

A lost and lonely girl here sleeps
Upon the dusty floor she lays
Curled up within herself she weeps
And grieves the death of better days.

Her hair is tangled from neglect
With dirty face and dirty hands
Tattered clothes in which she's dressed
Cover bruises, cuts, and bloody bands.

The wind comes through the open door
It blows her hair across her face
It pushes at her on the floor
And makes her shiver in cold's embrace.

The screams of pain inside her rage
A sound her heart has come to know
She should be dreaming at this age
But innocence was stolen long ago.

Now distant are her dreams escape
For night has drifted in so fast
She wills herself to find a place
To hide from hands of anger's grasp.

She hears him coming up the stairs
She seals herself inside her tomb
He'll try to hurt her, but she swears
He'll not find her in this room.

She hears his steps they grow in sound
He's almost here outside her door
She takes the razor and cuts a round
And watches blood drops on the floor.

The door is open to her fate
This man no longer has the power
Her heart and soul safe from his rape
Just a shell of her left in this tower.

No longer does she feel the pain
Or hear the screams inside her mind
All is quiet but the red blood rain
That whisks away this little child.

    Now she's feeling comfort's warmth
She's safe and free from his reach
As he kicks the lifeless form
With closed eyes, she finally sleeps

    ~The River Side~

She cried by the river side
    Her tears have all dried
    Her heart was too heavy,
She had said her last goodbye.

Her hair glows in the moon
    Her eyes sparkle in
    The stars light
    Her lips slightly apart
As she lies by the river side.

    Her body rest there peacefully
Her hand floating in the water
    Red mixes with blue
    They intertwine with each other.
    The water grows dark
    As the night grows bright
A girl who was heart broken
    Cried by the river side.

    When twilight arises
    Her family will find her,
    The gun that she used
    Rest at the bottom river.
    To sad to live
    She cried all night
She turned the gun to her heart
And died by the river side.

She's lost in a world that no one can find
She's living in pain, you can see it in her eyes
Everything is wrong, 'cause it's all a lie
Her heart is broken deep inside

    You Are My Everything
    by ♥ Jєѕѕу ♥

Waking as the sun hits her pillow
All thoughts slowly turn to him
Flowing throughout her heart and soul
To be with him is her only whim..

Big gentle hands, stroking her hair
    Dewy blue eyes, intensely stare
Round moist lips, give sugary kisses
This elegant love, she eternally misses..

    Romantic walks on sandy beaches
Passionate love made in flowery fields
Holding hands under the colorless moon
Her fragile heart, he eternally yields..

Breathtaking love that cannot be replaced
The magical flavor of heaven she did taste
You are my everything, come back to me
Night after night, you hear her eternal plea..

    The Creek
    by: Amanda Bee

Lying on a grassy hilltop, they gaze up into the sky
Boy and girl, hand in hand, age sixteen
Looking into a sea of sapphire, downy clouds floating by
Surrounded by a blanket of wildflowers and evergreen

He picks a delicate yellow daffodil, places it beside her head
She sweetly blushes, then they playfully roll down the knoll
Whirling, spinning, circling colors of yellow, green, and red
Laughing with dizziness as they reach the creek below

Enveloped in the sound of the water's gentle hiss
Tiny, cerulean, translucent waves rushing by
Their reflections upon the surface, mirror virtue and happiness
Curiosity of a budding love sparkles in their eyes

Dipping their bare feet into the frosty water, as it swiftly flows
Cool, crisp moisture encircles their exposed skin
Feeling the massage of the current weaving between their toes
Auburn branches dancing softly in the wind

She plucks white lilies from the grass, ties them stem to stem
Making two little flower ringlets, while sitting next to the stream
She places the adornment on his finger; one for her, one for him
A promise to one another, under the warmth of the sunbeams

They cross the shallow creek, splashing over the smooth stones
Reaching the majestic, old oak tree dwelling on the other side
He uses a pocket knife, carves their initials; hers then his own
In the brittle bark, encased in a heart, their love shall forever reside

Face to face, lip to lip, under the magnificent oak tree's shade
Engaged in love's first kiss, so tender and so meek
A crimson line drawn across the sky, the sun begins to fade
A spectacular moment perpetually engraved beside the creek

    Injected Poison
    by adrian or adrianc1294

vial, filled with crimsoned tears and blood
inserted by a long syringe, slowly devoured in
undressed fully, seeing my body naked
    the needle, impatiently, injected within

    uncontrollably, my body shakes,
it felt like an earth quake, loud cracking sounds of the lands everyone could hear
    uncleared words, silent lip makes
    while toxic bubbles appeared

helplessly fainted, hearing at the edge of a sound, cops blaring, coming forth
to the rescue, they took me to a hospital
but didn't make it, my heart didn't beat anymore
in heaven seeing what happened like a show, and how an injected poison victim became an angel

Happiness inside she cant help but hide
all the hurt and pain shes been caused
don't let her down; else she will again slide
back into her hole; where shes been so long paused

tried my best to mend her heart
but it was shattered into a million pieces
a savage animal yet again; ripped it apart
done it all; just need to iron the creases

but there were pieces that were still lost
never to be allocated; left back in the past
she forced herself to smile but at what cost?
gonna keep searching but i don't know how long she'll last

try to patch her up with a piece of mine
give it her all if thats what it takes
a nod, a smile; just need a little sign
    why let her heart break?

broken her heart; so many times
shes carried on through the cruelty, the pain,
and the evil heart game crimes
all her loss; all your gain

tried to fix her; tried to make her smirk
but shes dead to the world
    not even a little quirk
crosses her face; not now, not for a long time

    know what she is feeling
    even though she acts alright
    know the pain shes concealing
but she keeps putting up a fight

she has no antidote for her pain
    it increase with every thought
    nice girl; such a shame
being used; played like a game

try and help her, show her my care
    just want her to know
with me; her thoughts she can share
each day; my love for her will grow

    The Girl

    The girl stands alone.
    She doesn't know who she is anymore;
Not now that everyone has gone,
    Everyone she loves,
    Everyone she cares about.

She looks around the place that she calls home,
Roads of rubble littered with bodies,
Bricks where homes and famiys once were,
    Corpses on the roads where children used to play;
Everywhere she looks is death and destruction.

    The sordid music of fighting fills the air;
A steady rhythm of gunshots with a meloncholy melody of cries cutting the darkness like a murderer's knife.

    She closes her eyes and tries to blot out everything; the images of destruction, the sounds of pain, the stench of death;
But no matter how hard she presses her hands to her ears, she cannot rid them of the terrible screams that fill them.
The confusion builds up inside her,
    Until she's ready to explode.
That's when she realises the screams aren't outside,
They're burning from within her, trying to find a way out.

    So she screams,
    Her final scream,
As the bullet thuds into her heart.

The innocent killed by soldier's play.
An unawere victim of a game gone far too far.
