Suggestions for penalties and Filtering the Site

Here are some random Ideas, I don't know if they're possible to do though.

    1. Delete accounts which have no poems and the member isn't planning to post any poems either.

    2. Instead of banning downvoters or just reversing votes, BAn Them from the Privilege to vote or comment, until they write a sincere apology and promise not to do it again.

Why ban people when they can get a new account and never learn.

If they have some kind of comment or forum award and haven't been complained about, they can keep their account. It's those people who join not for Poetry, but for a place to fume, blame others or turn this site into their campaigne.

I'm banging my head again, but... Simply make voting a public act*, and it MUST be accompanied by a comment. It works on so many other sites, why not here?

And if some nobhead votes a "1" and leaves "ljwdhvflkwbheljkwhef" as a comment, make it the prerogative of the admin team to act accordingly.

It is NOT a bad system, it is just flawed where comments and votes are seperate entities.

*By "public" I mean that the voter's name is displayed, as with comments. You cannot send anonymously. Of course, you could bypass this with additional accounts, but my spidey senses tell me the administrative functions would soon eke out the spoofers.

    Right mods? :-)

The problem is with members, not some random internet surfer.

If the person is only here to read poetry and in fact does not write poetry, than registering is not necessary. Therefore, accounts without poems should be deleted... I know that I do not like being critiqued in comments and votes by those who have no poetry posted themselves, and most of you probably don't either, but I am always up for an honest critique from a fellow poet.

    Noni.

If i had a young lady of similar age and abilities to me for every time someone has created a thread like this, I'd be dead from exhaustion.

Your ideas are good ones, and thankyou for posting them, but they have been suggested in one form or another by both mods and grunts for months now.

We are waiting on our creator Janis, who if Neitzche is to be believed, could be dead, to implement all these amazing notions.

Now go back to sleep, the moderators are in fragile marginal control of this site, and we miss and admit to nothing.

"thats useless Ban a downvoter from voting and they just make another account to downvote on... your not solving a problem"

That's not my idea, that's the current way of dealing with downvoters. And yes, people can create a new account and stuff. But it may still help. It could also help if only members can vote.
