You YouToube Do You?

I don't know how familiar people from here are with www.youtube.com but it's one of my favourite sites. There's all-sorts to see there, video-wise (and some awesome audio) and it's where some of you may have seen the "Can" video I posted, from.

Anyway, here's the craic:

You can upload videos of your own there. And what I thought might be pretty cool was if we got a Poems & Quotes group section going on there where we could post videos of ourselves (or others) reading the poetry from this site; either our own or an homage to other users.

I thought it would be quite fun because we'd have the unique perspectives that individual personalities, accents and dialects will bring to the text we see here every day.

If anyone's interested, just say below. I'd happily subject myself to you all saying "Are you from Australia?" when you hear my thick Derbyshire drawl. :-)

I love YouTube. It's where I watch clips from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and Dancing In The Street video when sung by David Bowie and Mick Jagger.

If I had a camcorder, I'd be happy to post one - well, if I had a camcorder, and wasn't terrified of cameras - but I'd love to join a poems and quotes YouTube group!

OK I'm going to email Janis and Dainz about this because I don't want to go pissing them off about the use of the P&Q name or concept. But if they're cool with it, it'd be nice to get something going this coming week!

I mostly use youtube to listen to music videos that I wouldn't hear anywhere else. That and listen to famous guitarists teach lessons on shredding. Lol.

Oh that's a really good idea. To bad I didn't have me cam corder still. But I still think it is an awesome idea. And I would love to see some of the films. :]
