Definitely interested. I`m trying to join CC&P, but I don`t know what the actual title is and I can`t seem to find it on the selection page. Can someone help me with this? I posted it somewhere else, too.

    ~Memoirs Of A Campsite~

    Crackles
    heard from afar
    ignite the memories
of what once was your fire in
    the woods.

    are stepping little lines
    around the wrinkled cotton
    and tracing tiny spirals on
    apricots that are half eaten
as the sunny juices drip onto the
    awkward yet artistic
ambling of the mini moving specks.

    Listen
    To the tale,
    Spoken softly,
    Feeding our fire with fear.
The children hear it and shiver...
    Cold fright.

    Heehee....I love campfire ghost stories!!

Prepare a romantic picnic for two

pour us each a glass of champagne

    Category: Hot Weather Huitain
    Club: EOP

The livid rays birthed by an angry sun
beat down celestial scolding on our backs.
The shining wonder that the orb summons
makes up for the the gentleness it lacks.
The sparkling water by the trodden tracks,
like crystal laughter glinting off the waves:
oasis for the soul, as summer acts
the villain in the scripted play it paves.

Come dine with me my darling
    Chocolate covered strawberry dessert
Champagne for two, cooling on ice
Covering you in sweet matrimonial kisses
    Cuddling beneath the moonlight
Canvas painted with flickering candle shadows
Checkered blanket shall be our love nest

    Category : Summer Sonnet
    Group : CC&P

    Summer Proposal (Italian Sonnet)

chirping birds anguish such a gentle soul
soothing winds caress inner sadness deep
    romance terminated, with summer's sleep
fall offers thy first true love no console
heart to heart, hand in hand their final stroll
crystal water falls from her eyes that weep
cherished pictured beauty his heart shall keep
yearning emotions flow out of control
kissing her sweet lips a final adieu
lonesome whistle of a departing train
drowning in heartache in a lonesome sea
tomorrow may be to late for words so true
flowing tears he can no longer contain
whispers, stay forever and marry me

    MORE TO COME....

    Category: Hot Weather Huitain
    Club: EOP

It's summer time the heats too much
I need to get away from here
Someplace cool where the sun can't touch
so my skin will no longer sear
I don't care if it's far or near
Please just let me shiver and freeze
for this I would hollar and cheer
while dancing in the arctic breeze

Gonna try to write some more for this challenge, but I'm not promising anything....

    Walking along the sandy shore
    waves crashing among my feet
    Setting sun in the distance
wishing this day i could keep

This sandy path i now follow
    shifts, changing with the wind
While dancing freely on my own
a happiness of a different sin

    Longing never to return again
    now following the sandy shore
Discovering a new path of life
leaving a life i know no more

    Title: Summer's End
    Category: Summer Sonnet
    Club: EOP

The summer is about to make its end.
The branches are to decorate their leaves,
the cooling air might chilly secrets lend,
and we’ll decide to lengthen our short sleeves.
But as for now, the season still exists
where we can while away the lasting days.
Where apples ripen under the sun’s kiss,
and children idle under its bright rays.
The geese have not yet started winging south,
    with verbose exclamations bursting forth.
They hear it from their birdish word of mouth
to keep their summer refuge in the north.
And so I, too, will summer’s passage wend
until, indeed, it makes its vibrant end.
