1000th topic!

hehe... i don't know if this is the 1000th post but 10 seconds ago, the total so far was 999.

anyways, my question is... what is the best love poem you have ever read? can be on this site or not.

I can't say it is the best love poem, but this is one of my personal favorite. It is light-hearted, whimsical, dreamy and upbeat. I get just as much pleasure reading it for the 1000th time as I did the first time.

Child Bride

I was your child bride,
and you were my king,
and we played in
the sunlight
at dawn.
I was your whisper,
your ghost love,
your dream,
and you were my
chosen one.
We were the spirits
that danced
through the ethers,
and lit
all the stars in the sky.
You were the prince,
and I was your daisy.
We leaped
through the bright
winter night.
And morning
would wake us,
and undo our visions,
and shake us
back into the light.
We'd fall to our dungeons
like ice flakes
at daybreak,
and long
for our next
chance to
fly.
