okies i have come up with an idea.

you people have to come up with a poem no longer than ten lines about YOURSELF AS AN INDIVIDUAL, make sure it comes from the heart ok.

1. THIS CONTEST WILL FINISH 13TH AUGUST.
2. NO MORE THAN 3 POEMS PER PERSON.
3. ORIGINAL WORK ONLY NO COPYRIGHT.

What's to know? I'm just another girl,
Just another broken heart in this lonely world.
No love has passed by me in over a year,
No one cares how much I am in fear.

I have some good friends, but they don't know me,
They see the fake smiles, but no one can see...
So what's to know? I'm ugly and fat I know,
I get insults each day, but no tears are shown.

So this is my life, whether I like it or not,
It might not be much, but it's all I got...

I do less than I can
I'd explain who I am
But I've got a short attention span

I'm the perfect son
Who's accomplished nothing
and has alwasy been shunned
For all that he's done

A mind of creativity,
a heart that touched a soul,
Writing is the sky and earth,
In complete control.

I am who I am, take it or leave it.

Lost In A Portrait

Faded images reflected through a mirror,
Constant tear drops staining the unfamiliar.
Remembering an angel I once used to be,
Laughter and joy that was stolen from me.

Replacing memories with regrets and sins,
Searching for some peace that lays within.
All hope and faith disappearing out of sight,
Leaving me stranded from losing this fight.

Lost in a portrait lays a young innocent girl,
Afraid; alone; simply hiding from the world.

My Shadow Wears
A Vail Of Deception And Lies,
A Jacket Of Deceit,
And Sunglasses That Hide The Tears
She Cries.

Her Hair Is Like
Woven Flames, Burning In The Night.
That Create a Magical Flicker
of Dark, and Fiery Light.

My Shadow Is A Fallen Star
That Will Never Hit The Ground
She Spins And Twirls, Falling Faster,
But Missing Everything Around.

Very metaphorical.. lol.

never to be read

i'm like a screech for help
but i'm to soft to be heard

i'm covered in lies to be seen
illusions
sadness
plus i drowned a long time ago
no one saved me

just notice i wasn't here
but yet i stay here on earth

when i pass on i will become one

**had to enter this cause it closes on my birthday lol but yes great contest, really enjoyed it i got a bit carried away with this and wrote a really long poem which ive posted in my account but here is the ten line version for the contest**

little girl with bright blue eyes
friends all around she's full of laughs and smiles
lives her life to the full and treasures every happy moment
she keeps those faded moments, forever in her heart
mostly shes happy sometimes shes scared
sometimes feels lonley and the bad days are there
shes so sick of boys and so sick of love
so sick of confusion and sick of emotion
so she spills out her heart with a paper and pen
from her loves to her pains there all written down in verse

Kind and caring I love the world
I can be emotional at time to time
People call me trusting and a good girl who cares,
I do not like people who lie
I will try my best and I do awful at tests.

I am the One, on which You can depend,
if things aren't going well, and You really need a friend..

I hate to burden others, if I am feeling sad,
'cause I really do not like, to make others feel bad..

I am trustworthy and honest, I cannot tell a lie,
I am easily embarrassed, I'm quiet and I'm shy..

I do have a bad temper, but it's rarely ever seen,
'cause when it comes to confrontation, I really am not keen.

My mind and soul is full of passion
Yours is cold and full of distress.

My heart is an open door with but one key in your possesion.
Yours is a locked dungeon whose key has been swallowed by a mystical dragon.

My like is full of excitment and warmth.

I'm just a normal kid,
with a bleak out look on life.

Its more than 10 lines...but it's hard to describe oneslef in 10 lines...i hope 16 is not to many

They can talk, but we will still walk,
