Petty..Vain..Rejection???

Have you ever broke up with a bf/gf for a really lame reason?

Or have you ever rejected someone that had all the qualities you looked for in a bf/gf, but because he/she is over weight or too thin, too short or tall, had a crooked smile, a sleepy eye, a speach impediment ect...you just blew them off?

for #1- yes.... when I was 13, I was dating an 18 year old... of course I got all the "you are too young to be in love" stuff thrown at me... my friends thought it was cool for awhile... but then started teasing me because they thought he was "strange"... and so I broke up with him... I still regret it...

for #2 - never, on the contrary, I always seemed to be drawn to those that others deemed "imperfect"

#1 Almost every single break-up I went through was because of something stupid:p Yea, I got issues..lol

#2 I only took a ride on the "vain rejection roller-coaster":p once, but it was bad, because the girl was like my best friend. She has and probably still would do anything for me, and vice versa. I think she's very pretty, and probably the my best match personality wise. The problem was she was about a good 50 pounds heavier than me. I just wasn't physically attracted to her. When she wanted to be more than friends, I gave her every single excuse I could think of, besides to real reason, because I knew the reall reason would hurt her the most. She jumped over every single hurdle I put up..she was literally changing herself for me..no lie!

I did the stupidest thing ever and finally told her the real reason, and she was devastated. It hurt to me to see her that way. She was mad, and told me how vain I was and just totally ripped into me understandably. Anyway, we started speaking again about a month later, and we're still good friends, but it still bothers me and I'm sure it bothers her.

Damn you are crazy man to tell your friend the real reason, you must like tempting fate. Weights such a sensitive issue for women.

What's funny is she told me afterwards that she was more upset that I didn't tell her the truth earlier...I think she was kinda lieing tho:p

Yes. I have this thing with peoples noses. Well I really liked him and i thought I would give him a try, but in the end the nose got the boot. I just couldn't date him because of his nose.

#1 - well me and my ex-gf broke up cuz she 'wasnt feeling it' okie... ya may tell me how lame that is and she just told me that not explaning a SINGLE thing, when she told me that I was like 'whaaaaaat???' and well until now she still didnt tell me, thanks to her tho... Im with a greater person that can actually express herself to me

#2 - I would go with no, if I really like a person who cares if they sneeze funny or ugly or if they snort or anythin, I dont care.. thats not how they are inside and well... I make stuff cute and funny anyways no matter what it is, I mean a girl would prolly be embarassed to talk to a guy about her girly things that she has to buy and well I spent like 15min guessin what my gf hadta buy and well i got all these hints from her and stuff... never guessed what it was tho... still driving me nuts
