Most conspiracies are nothing, stories made up by unloved men who crave attention. These usually are digs at the mafia or the government... usually both.

The few conspiracies that do have weight are, invariably, linked with the mafia or the government... usually both.

The sad thing is that people are more likely to believe that there was a conspiracy to level two major buildings by it's own government than to follow the evidence, physics and common sense and come to the conclusion that twenty odd bad men did it.

People should be looking into P2, Bob, AIDS/Aspirin and a few other choice cuts that are often just ignored.

dwelt, you may have written, you may not, but you left the mafia out of the JFK assassination. And no one ever seems to mention E. Howard Hunt.. I'll wager you never even heard of him.

The JFK thing really set the theorists off, didn't it? It was the point in our history where we (as a world, not as Americans or whatever) stopped trusting our government to tell the truth about the really important things. I think we'd mostly accepted that politicians had a tendency to lie, but JFK... it was at a point where media powers were starting to cloud a governments ability to be deceitful, and as a result the very notion that the President could have been murdered by a number of entities for a variety of reasons left the general public wondering who in Hell (sic) you could trust.

Me, I'm with the Boys From The Dwarf: JFK shot himself from the grassy knoll. All that for a curry...

Apologies, dwelt, I forgot I was talking to someone who knows their stuff.

I'm all for the CIA when to comes to JFK. Unless E.H. Hunt was dressed as a tramp to make sure the Pres was being kept safe and covered it up after to keep his arse out of the fire then it was them...

..then again, Lister accidentally bumping off Oswald the Curry conspiracy makes the top two.

A friend of mine pointed out that "JFK" as said in the manner of 1st grade kids is "juh fuh kuh", which said repeatedly and quickly comes out as "Jafucka" which sounds like "D'ya fuck 'er?"

My apologies for the profanities. But I feel that we've all watched Fox and therefore it's not much more than an editorial in this case.

Sesame Street is bad for kids.

for years we have been told no to "baby talk" to our toddlers, yet Elmo does it on a daily basis.
Cookie Monster is the king of Junk Food
The Count has a counting disorder
Snuffy is high (the name saids it all Snuffy)
Bert and Ernie are live-in lovers.
Grover looks like a crack head
Oscar is homeless and no one cares.
kermit loves ms piggy (interspecies mating?)

    oh theres more.... theres more.

Kermit is just practicing animal husbandry...
Oscar has made a residency choice...
    Grover....well....you're right....
Bert and Ernie are in a civil union...
Snuffy is lookin' for another can of gold paint...
The count is OCD and that is why he is the king of measurement and distribution...
The Cookie monster is a major customer of the counts...
    Elmo just needs a helmet....

Seasame Street should be renamed Reality Street...

by these subjects you mean one, because there is only one other conspiracy theory thread.

This site is primarily left wing, being creative and liberally poetic in nature and so the kids here usually only get one point of view and therefore tend to get caught up in the wave of one sided opinion, just look at the Bush threads all over the place. (I am not a flying toy)

I like to play devils advocate here... and in some cases a voice of reason. Some theories are brilliant, pure genius, but most are just hokum employed in the vain hope to oust governments.

I am a liberal conservative, in that there are things I am liberal about, and there are things I am conservative about.

But when I registered to this site, I found that this site to be conservative in certain aspects and liberal in some more.

Now for me, conspiracy theorists are mainly Marxists in theory, where they try and make in some way a ridiculous notion to down grade this capitalist system (goverment). I would tend to agree with them, but most of their theories doesn't make sense.

Contradicting, I know, but it is true.

Why is it impossible for the CIA to have assassinated JFK?

    JFK was assassinated.

(Can't remember the film where I heard that joke, so please tap my head with a hammer and set me right.)

Bob Shank = Khan Sobb, obviously a covert code name...

What are you up to, mister?
