How Long To Load?

There are times of the day (mainly this time of the day) when P&Q is so slow I could probably post the bloody poems to you all and get a response faster. For instance, to load this "new topic" page it took 32.375 seconds. I know this because I have the FasterFox plug-in and it tells me each page's load time. Think it mught then be an issue with Firefox I tried the site in IE and Opera, and it's around the same time. Not good.

So I was wondering if anyone else who posts regularly is having slow page-load times. It's starting to annoy me, now.

Yeah sometimes the pages are slow loading for me, too. And I do find it more slower at certain times than others. However, I don't know if it actually is the website or my computer. All I know is that it frustrates me to no end :)

Yes, lately the web has been a little slow loading for me... other times not. It must be the traffic on the web in general. :-)

Earlier I was having troubles loading the site at all, and it was closer to a minute. Not sure if that's the same problem th0, as it was early in the AM

0.375 to 1.02 seconds for every page I've visited now. Ah well. I guess I'll skip my afternoon coffee visit!

    0.844 seconds. Awesome.

But frankly I log in so much less often now I'm working again. But I'm seeing more and more things that inspire me. But I'm finding myself less inclined to write because I don't think I'm writing for me anymore. And the fact no one reads my stuff means I'm probably going to just look at the world around me and not bother writing about it any more.

Being in the web business as I am I tend to find people assume "virus" first and other things next. 9 times out of 10 a connection problem to a website is simply down to the amount of people trying to access it. Our most recent game (a hockey score prediction game) had a similar issue in its inaugural season, which meant that this season we had a better idea of how many people would be using it. And as a result we've not had a single "i fink i got a viras" type email.

    Bonus. :-)
