Dont draw any attention to them. And if they ask just say something like "It's just something in my past. I don't really want to talk about it."

yea i can relate to that.. i have scars on my hip and i had to go swimming and u could kinda see some of my scars but i pretened like they werent there and no one said anything about htem.. so jus act like they arent there and if someone asks about it.. jus say that u dont wana talk bout it cuz it brings up ur past

thats a good idea to ignore them and pretend nothing happened I have a few scars on my arms but I have to wear a t-shirt or my parents would really suspect it, or maybe even just say I don't feel like going swimming or what not and make excuses not to go but sometimes that can be risky. Hope that helped you out.

well...if you want to swim than they have alot of scar relieve creams out in drug stores that make the less noticable.

If they're on your thighs, maybe you could wear boardshorts, thats what i do, no one notices anything.

If you keep your leggs under water most of the time then it won't be as visible most of the time. Wear pants to the water, make sure they're the LAST thing you take off, then run for the water. As soon as you get out (you can sneak out) wrap a big towel around your waist. If you need an excuse to wrap it around your waist, and not under your armpits, say yoiu're butt's really wet and you want it to dry faster than it would if the towel wasn't right around your butt.

    All about speed, and stealth.

A big wrap-around skirt worn until the last minute can easen the problem. Keep a towel close to the water to wrap around yourself.

More than that, try to relax and have fun. Usually, it is considered mighty rude to comment on scars and stuff, but if they ask because they are worried, well, they have a right to.
If I saw someone of my family or one of my friends sporting scars on their legs, I would be concerned.

I had the same problem, I recently moved in with my dad and I don't think he knows that much about my past, en we went on a holiday with his girlfriend, what I tried to do was to keep my scars out of the before going on a holiday, so no suntanning en stuff, If you give your scars a longer period of time to heal and then go in the sun they will look better, My scars on the inside of my legs were noticable but I just sayd they were stretch marks, I can understand why people say: just tell them it is something about your pas5 and that you don't wanna talk about it but from my experience alot of people can't stop wondering what has happened en if you are still ok, with me they got on my back, it is a bog trend to wear a men's short with a cute bathing top, if you make it look like it is supposed to be like that nobody would suspect there is something wrong, And yes one of those wrap around skirts are also nice. The last thing I wanna say is, don't worry to much, I overdid it, and it was no good at all. What helped with my scars was a peeling creme, made them lighter. they now almost blend in with my skin, after a while I bet they'll be unnoticable.

Mederma... That's a scar therapy cream that works wonders for scars. I use it less than directed and I can still see a very noticable difference. Nearly 75% of my scars are faded away almost to unnoticable. It's not that expensive either. And with 6 weeks, apply it every day 4 times and they'll be really close to faded. It's amazing stuff really.

yer its just...well theyre bound 2 notice them coz they r very thick and purple n they r rele against that sort of stuff they think if people cut they must b crazy n in a mental home...so i rele dnt want them 2 no!

I have an idea..Admit that you've cut, and wear your scars in a bold and proud way..If anyone even asks anything than admit that you have cut.

''Nothing goes unpunished'' Just be brave, if you get caught hiding it, it'd be worse.

i also get all worked up about my scars. although i can't hide them so well. i have scars from my thighs, torso, arms and across my neck. it has really heightened my social phobia, but i have been practicing "self talk" to calm me down. i just try to convince myself that noone is paying any attention to me, or even that they really realize the disfiguring scars are my doing, not an accident. after awhile it started to lessen my anxiety. just an idea. try and have a good time.

i also agree with admitting that you cut... i no that sometimes its hard ot say it.. and then of course even harder to show it... So maybe tell them that you cut in your past... ( if it was in your past)

And then where boy shorts (if the scars are only on your thighs)

o wait... someone already told you that short thing... sorry bout that

my parents used to think that only crazy people cut... Don't worry... If they no your over it... If you try and explain it to them... They'll understand
