If you cut him off with no reasons, yeah he probably will be sad.

Well the thing is you don't want to hurt each other feelings. At least he still calls you and still thinks of you. So don't cut all contacts. =) It will only hurt you more. Yes, I know its hard. But hang on to the hope even at times when it does gets hard.

I think you should tell him you can't talk to him, and break off all contact even if it's only temporary. At least until you are able to move on.

This is one of those cases where you need to be selfish, and you shouldn't continue to just let yourself hurt over this guy. If he really cares, he should understand that you need time, and not be too hurt over the fact that you need to be away from him.
