Kristen asked me to post these sinne her computer is broken.
To all participants:
These were all excellent poems! I thoroughly enjoyed reading them all! Great work!!
I am by no means an expert in judging form poetry and different websites give different definitions or requirements for the various forms, So I just did my best at checking to see that each poem fit the stated form and then picked my favorite from those that did.
Suggestion: count your syllables carefully… even checking a dictionary to see how many syllables it divides a word into. One word that was used many times in these poems was “fire†and its pronunciation varies throughout the US, some accents pronounce it with one syllable and some with 2 and I’m sure that’s true of any English speaking country. Anyway, I try to steer away from using questionable words like that when doing poems with syllabic requirements. (When it came to these words I gave you all the benefit of the doubt and didn’t count them as form breaks as long as one way or the other produced the correct syllable count) – Hopefully, I haven’t confused you all too much with my attempt at explaining! LOL
Here are my choices:

Title: Summer's End
Author: sibylline

The summer is about to make its end.
The branches are to decorate their leaves,
the cooling air might chilly secrets lend,
and we’ll decide to lengthen our short sleeves.
But as for now, the season still exists
where we can while away the lasting days.
Where apples ripen under the sun’s kiss,
and children idle under its bright rays.
The geese have not yet started winging south,
with verbose exclamations bursting forth.
They hear it from their birdish word of mouth
to keep their summer refuge in the north.
And so I, too, will summer’s passage wend
until, indeed, it makes its vibrant end.

Title: Sandy Shore
Author: Jacklyn
Club: EOP
Walking along the sandy shore
waves crashing among my feet
Setting sun in the distance
wishing this day i could keep
This sandy path i now follow
shifts, changing with the wind
While dancing freely on my own
a happiness of a different sin
Longing never to return again
now following the sandy shore
Discovering a new path of life
leaving a life i know no more

Come dine with me my darling
Chocolate covered strawberry dessert
Champagne for two, cooling on ice
Covering you in sweet matrimonial kisses
Cuddling beneath the moonlight
Canvas painted with flickering candle shadows
Checkered blanket shall be our love nest

Title: Load Up The RV

We'll load up the RV and be on our way
Take a road trip cross country and back
Drive for a few hours then stop for a day
Find a hotel in which we can stay
Go to a casino to play slots and blackjack
We'll load up the RV and be on our way
We can bring tents and sleep beside the bay
Watch the sunset as we lie on our backs
Drive for a few hours then stop for a day
See what there is in each town to work and play
Get so exhausted and then hit the sack
We'll load up the RV and be on our way
We'll go to a fancy restaurant and park valet
Order the finest wine on the rack
Drive for a few hours then stop for a day
We can even go see the opera or ballet
As long as we're together I won't care anyway
We'll load up the RV and be on our way
Drive for a few hours then stop for a day

Title: Siberian Dream (Huitain)
Author: Holly Armer
Club: EOP
It's summer time the heats too much
I need to get away from here
Someplace cool where the sun can't touch
so my skin will no longer sear
I don't care if it's far or near
Please just let me shiver and freeze
for this I would hollar and cheer
while dancing in the arctic breeze
