What do you guys think makes a good romantic/love poem?

As I posted there, For me, it is the language usage (word choice), how effectively they express that beauty which they wish me (the reader) to see. It's the Tone, the Rhythm, the Flow, the Imagery, the Structure, the Diction, and Fluency of the poem. How it play to the ear. The poem's usage/use Romantic Language (the gushing, flowery words, they use to describe, express, their adoration, affinity). I want to be enchanted, by the ecstasy of your epithetic expression, as you are enchanted by the ecstasy of your inspiration, muse. The number one key to a love poem for me is the beauty, in and of its expression and how well that beauty is translated, expressed, in an elegant, eloquent, and artistic manner!!!

When the poem is true and written from the heart. Its also great when the poet doesnt try too hard to make it perfect, mistakes make the poem even better because it helps reveal the poets inner self.

A truly good love poem is sincere and from the heart.

honesty.. and heartfelt experiances

heartache, loss, pain ... they can show a person what they really feel about them and if its love then the poem will really mean something... hugs from broken_reflection xoxoxoxo

Everyone knows of love, most people have seen at least one love movie, listened to at least one love song, but only one who has experienced love can truly express love in a poem...

When it`s not just something you seen outta a movie. When yu write from yur past experiences, `nd how yu truly feel. That`s what makes a good romance poem. It doesn`t have to be perfect, s`long as it comes from the heart.

A romance poem doesn't have to rhyme or be perfect. it can be your feelings. guyz like to express their feelings that they have for the ones they love or once loved. but it depends on what you want to say or how to say it.

Love poems are always from the heart and you dont alway have to have expereience to write about it, i mean you could be writing about sumthing that u want to happen like a fantasy on paper

From experience. just let the words flow how you think they should be used as you run the memory in your head
