what is poetry for you?

for me poetry is the most hobby i wanted to do in my spare time, i want to write what comes in my mind and most of the i love to read it.

I use poetry to express the way I feel inside when I cant talk about the way I feel. It makes me feel better instead of me bottling things up. I love reading other peoples poems too, its nice to lose yourself in someone elses work.

Human Angel

I've always had a yearning to write poetry, always. And i started when i was 10, so it's just like i guess you could say an "addiction." It is a way for me to vent out my feelings as well, and some things that i can never seem to say out loud always come out through the pen or on the keyboard. Writing will always be a part of me.

i use poetry to express how i feel, and tell people about things, in a calm way. but it is also a hobby :S lol

Poetry allows me to express my weirdest, deepest, most hidden feelings... and sharing with the world allows poetry not only to help myself but others, poetry is a statement, it is a part of yourself...

poetry for me is something witch helps me under stand life but it works for me when ever sad i wirte when ever happy i wirte it helps so much

Poetry to me is a form of catharsis-it is self therapy and release of emotions that can't be contained.It is healing and comfort. It is expression of thought and emotion.It is something written for yourself yet also to touch the hearts and minds of others.Poetry is so much more-it has different meanings for different people.It is something inside, a passion, whether you do it for yourself or others that must be gotten out.I must say it has saved my sanity if not my life.I write because I cannot NOT write.Life is poetry in motion.

Poetry to me is a way for me to express myself. I put down in words what I can`t, or am too afraid to say. I don`t care if my poetry isn`t good, or perfect, nothing really is. I just write poetry because it`s something that makes me feel better, being able to just let everything out, and be able to have people tell me that they understand how I feel. Poetry is like my... passion.

Poetry is my flowing of words. It get's me out of my shell and gets me going. It is my escape when I have nothing else. I can say whatever I want, which gets me freedom. It's my passion.

I use poetry to exspres my fillings when I cant say it out loud. It is also a way to let my imagination run it's cours.

For me it is expression...sometimes of who I am...sometimes of how I feel...it is almost always reflective of something or someone in my life, be it nature or a person.

for me, its creativity, and an emotional vent sometimes.
