    Ghosts Don't Cry

She wishes she would have done it different, wished she would have dared.
But she couldn't get herself to jump, she was simply scared.
It would have ended everything, maybe it would have stopped.
She wished she was gone far away, for every tear that dropped.
She can't take the tears, and she can't take the pain,
Now she's standing there, alone in the rain.
She wish she would have joined the others, the people who left her behind.
She want's them back, but all the has are the thoughts in her mind.
She wish someone cared, she had someone to hold.
Instead of standing there alone in the cold.
"I guess I'm supposed to die alone, and I guess thats fine.
I am not ment for this world, God messed with my design."
She wish she dared to jump, wish she dared to die.
Only because she knows inside: ghosts don't cry.

    Bitter Sweet Revenge {Double Ottava Rima}

    I will give you a bitter sweet revenge;
Faceless tears streaming down a beautiful face.
Lies telling truthful stories to avenge
Leaving love, malice, and choice without a trace.
Stab beautiful lies with a bloodied syringe,
Listen; reprisal as you leave from this place.
I will give you a revenge bitter sweet
So malicious and cold that will meet your defeat...

I will give you a bitter sweet revenge -
Colored, thoughtful hopes will carry across the sky,
Losing against your fight to the end.
Forgetting the time against your shallow cry.
The fire asset will burn, die, singe,
Letting you fall as the world around lies.
    Noticing your silent vindictiveness,
Seeking much ignorance of your forgotten bliss.

    ---------------------------------------

A Ottava Rima is a poem written in 8-line octaves. Each line is of a 10 or 11 syllable count in
    the following rhyme:

    one octave poem. abababcc
    two octave poem. abababcc, dededeff
three octive poem. abababcc, dededeff, ghghghii

    Ghosts Don’t Cry

Walking around, aimless, lost in the crowd.
Trying to be heard, but the noises are so loud.
After a long day, coming home to fights,
Not getting a word in edgewise; lonely nights.

Welcome to my life, I’m only a ghost,
Not noticed by many, ignored by most.
Often want to break down, and want to die,
Or cry my eyes out, but ghosts don’t cry.

Finally a little freedom, out with friends,
But ignored by you, the pain never ends.
Love shown one way, yet hate the other,
Then the time comes to see my mother.

I see her only a little, yet important I’m not,
Complaining and yelling, making cheeks hot.
Talking to her boyfriend for an hour it seems,
Actually spending time with HER is just a dream.

Welcome to my life, a ghost I’ll remain,
Many ignore me, many don’t know my name.
Often I want to break down, but when I try,
I recall that one thing, ghosts don’t cry.

    ~*Who Cares?*~
THANK YOU AGAIN. i like this poem:)

    Random Words
    By: Twisted Heart

Last night, they were said, just three little words
But this morning, they're stains on my heart
For I know, just as sure, as you said them to me
That today, they'd drive us apart.

Just fun for awhile is what you had said
I didn't care much, at the time
To love you was wrong on so many levels
Random words were your ultimate crime.

You had your life, it was perfect this way
No commitments to think of, you said
But Random words, have covered quite nicely
The lonely tears that I shed.

Cruel words spoken in passions embrace
Next morning are lost on your lips
You leave in the wake of a new dawning day
Not caring if I'm still Ok with this.

Simple words, that tear the soul out of me
They cause me such heartache and pain
Because I know, They're just being said
They are, after all, just part of your game.

But who am I kidding, I should have known
This fun would be gone when I heard
Those things that you tell, all the women who's fell
For the lies of your Random Words.

xDarkSuicidex I am afraid that you misread my title, placing it as Bitter Sweet Revenge instead of Bittersweet Regret, but we all make mistakes, so the poem, mainly because it was quality writing and I liked it, stays :-)

Thanks guys for your enthusiastic response to my contest. Take your sweet time with the poems, there is no hurry as they only need to be in on the 25th of September.
I am glad that you like the titles xD

    pocelain laughter

She was unhappy inside, but she wasn’t to complain
Since she had died, she’d had nothing but pain

She was but peaceful, in her heavenly abode
She was dark and dull, someone turned off her gleeful mode

She questioned dear god, ‘please but why but why’
She didn’t hear his reply; all she could do was cry

She pretended to smile, and put on a big show
She achieved it for a while, but no-one was to know

She longed for that one, the thing she most cherished
Her one and only sun, that now in her mind perished

To see her daughters face, and to brush her hair
To dress her in lace, and her eyes she would stare!

She longed for the thing, that always made her smile
Like a short vivid ring, although it only lasted awhile

Her child’s porcelain laughter, which filled the town
From ground to rafter, and put her on an up not down

sorry its a bit rushed! couldnt find the time

    Eyes Without Tears

    Years have dried up tears
    Draining an abandoned lake
    Captured as it appears
    A hollow aging ache

It's taste, like the ocean seas
    Tainted in solemn paint
    Suppressing lurking pleas
    Forcing a restraint

    Those almonds cold and numb
    Darkness deeper than hell
    Pupils thick in black succomb
    Lifeless within it's cell

Like the way blood bleeds dry
    Never closing, never healing
My sad eyes no longer cry
    Trapped inside unfeeling

    These eyes without tears
    Graze the world utterly
    Watching the falling sphere
    Destroy it's own glee

    -Smiles That Hurt.-

There's a girl in the mirror, smiling back at me!
Hiding the tears I know she has in her eyes,
Telling stories of lullabies and good-byes.
    And the closer I look, the more I can see;
The innocent little girl she used to be.
And her fake smiles are all little white lies,
Because I know when she is alone, she cries,
Just praying for the day when she'll be free.

    Sometimes - - I will wonder who she really is - -
And other times I think I already know.
As she stands there and stares at me, face inert.
Wondering, if anyone knows she exists.
    With eyes bloodshot red, and her face of snow;
She whispers back at me, that these smiles hurt.

Technically, all the poems were done... I just did one under a wrong name, for I read it wrong..

And I'd offer to write it, but since it was my mistake in the first place, I doubt that'd be aloud.. Or even double posting. Anyways.

I hope this is over soon; I'm excited!

Ten Things I Never Tell You

Ten years together as man and wife
Ten years living a hellish lie
    Never once was it mentioned
That I dreadfully feared your rage

    Four years divorced
    It is all unchanged
This moment I must tell you
Secrets reserved in excess of a decade

    The beatings endured
    Left me full of hate
    No longer yearning your touch
    Searching hysterically for a hideaway

Controlling every decision within our lives
Was merely another of your humiliating traits
Calloused how others felt with judgments made
Pretentious to those steadfast in faith

Thoughts of fleeing with the children
    Endeavoring an escape
    Habitually irritated my psyche
If I merely had means to getaway

    Children weeping nightly
    After each prayer said
    Longing for an end
    Toward the brutality shed

No longer speaking words of loving you
Even if I secretively crave to
    Wishing we never met
Then possibly none of this would have been

The biggest secret that I have hid
    Shocking it appears to be
Is praying nightly for your death
Violent and brutal may it be

    ~Remember my tears~

    So cold inside
    I want to die
    You don’t remember
    My tears that I cried.
    They turned into ice
    My heart has been sliced
    Be proud of yourself
    That you played my love
    Like dice.

    Curled up alone
    I am so empty
    No happiness surrounds me,
    It’s just not fair
How you go on with your life
    And not even care.

    The Emptiness of Things

As I sit here in my room
    I dread what tomorrow brings
I wonder how you could be so glad
Of all the emptiness of things

    My heart is slowly breaking
    Splitting into two halves
One side filled with tears and hate
The other with smiles and laughs

    Crying onto this pillow
That has now become my home
Wondering if you're feeling this way
I wonder if you are alone

    The emptiness of things
    Brings tears upon my cheeks
I always thought that I was strong
Until you showed me I was weak

I'm lying crumpled, on my bed
    Just wishing for some relief
Hoping that one day, I'll see
This is going against my beliefs

    Cutting slightly down my wrist
Just enough to make it bleed
I sit here staring, at the gash
The anger that I have to feed

One more cut is all I can take
Just one more chance at this
I hope it was worth it now
    For that one foresaken kiss.
