    Season's Children

Fickle and unpredictable is the child of Spring
Quick to cruelty, quick to kindness, she can both scream and sing
Yet as her flower-riddled golden hair sweeps over the earth
Flowers burst into life, animals give birth

Summer’s warm hearted maiden is gracious and kind
Yet the brightness of her form can leave humans blind
Brown is her skin, her tawny hair pulled back by a ring
She brings happiness and heat, this balmy season’s offspring

The progeny of Autumn floats without care
Light and fair is her skin, rich auburn is her hair
She dons the bright gold and deep red of her falling leaves
Like them she drifts aimlessly, she’s never happy, never grieves

Black haired and white skinned is Winter’s child
She sweeps through dark tundra and pine forests wild
To travel through her domain requires wisdom and skill
For though she is beautiful, Winter’s touch can kill.

    Blossom

    An angle of beauty,
    Looking up at the trees,
    Light filters through,
    Every shade,
    From dark red,
    To the palest blue.
    Trees blossom,
    Delicate,
    Blooming flowers,
I pick a branch of them,
    And a few flutter down,
    To rest in my hair,
    An etheral crown.
    The sun warms my face,
    Lending healing to my soul.
    The winter,
    In its beauty,
    Is over,
    And the spring,
    In its peace,
    Is here.

This is one of my older poems before I got a new account.

    ~A mountain is my hero~

    A mountain is my hero
    You want to know why?
    Does it ever bow
    When the wind cries?
    Does it ever crumble
    When the earth shakes?
    Does it ever weep
    When the sky breaks?
    A mountain is strong
    It will face any danger.
    And now you know why
    A mountain is my hero.

    Such Beauty.

    So much beauty to admire,
    when You look around.
    An elegant Weeping Willow,
with leaf filled branches hanging down...

    Flowers of many colours,
    sizes, shapes and smells.
    From a lonely little snowdrop,
    to a field of bluebells...

    A sky of pretty blue,
grass of all the shades of green.
    Rivers and waterfalls flowing,
the most glorious sights ever seen...

Birds singing in the tree tops,
    a bunny hopping by.
    Such wonderous things imaginable,
    the sweetest known to I...

    Each and every image.
    Each and every sound.
    The sweetest songs to hear,
The best art, ever to be found...

To enjoy the wonder of nature,
You must open Your eyes, Your ears, Your mind.
You might even just surprise Yourself,
at the peace and calm You find.

    Taking It All In

Wanting to get all the opportunity of the outside,
You close your eyes as the sun continues to rise...

Opening your eyes to the beautiful sky,
Watching the birds all fly by...

Smelling the sweet nectar in the air,
As the wind twirls your long hair...

    Noticing a small butterfly appear,
With all the vibrant colors of sheer...

You watch as it flutters past your ear,
Wanting to touch it cause it is so near...

Turning to get a glimpse of the climbing red rose,
You lean forward to take a whiff of essence with your nose...

Standing in the warm stunning sun,
Realizing your one fantasy is almost done...

Reaching for nature's peaceful and delicate light,
You close your eyes while fading slowly out of sight!

    Live

    Rays of a thousand summers,
    Replaced by eternal ice,
    Flowers of brightest colour,
    Now frosted sacrifice,

    Sunny days turned to grey,
As the slate of warmth is dead,
Lives are spared just this once,
    From the hanging needle thread,

Days are cold through the sun,
Yet the nights are even worse,
    Even the most perfect world,
    Could never rid this curse,

Through the snow upon the ground,
    A sappling reaches through,
A life so fragile yet so tough,
Shows the world just what to do,

Never give in to the cold,
Don't let the wind push you down,
    Even in the blizzard's strength,
    Replace your golden crown,

    Sing until the flowers bloom,
    And everything is right,
    Don't cry in the dark,
Let your dreams show you the light.

    Thanks.
