Any ideas of a good way to ask a girl to homecoming?

Could start out by asking her if she has a date... if she says no, then say "Oh, well, would you like to come with me?" Or if not you could do something romantic, like an invitation, a poem, a song, a sweet little note with burnt edges, depends if you are friends or if you like her...

Personally, I'd be flattered if I got a personalized invitation, I'd keep it for ever! :-D
