Actually, I tried to write one with this title, but didn't get very far. Could I unreserve it and instead reserve Imprinted In Pain?

Don't begrudge me my God given right
To sit in the darkness and wait
For I know just as sure if I try to move on

I'd pick up the phone to see if it was working
And replace it in the cradle again.

My friends have all said that I'm wasting my time

But I call them all fools because I know in my heart
They don't know what they're speaking of.

Each night as I sit in this dark lonely house
I watch as the hours pass by
I know that you'll come to me given more time
Because in the past you have tried.

But it's been many months since I saw your face
And the ticking of time is at hand

Aren't you still a compassionate man?

Have you forgotten that I'll always be here
In me there is always a home
But still time is moving too fast to go on

Hardly Forgotten

I remember, last summer there was love,
You were high on my list, so much farther above-
All else. Now a year later, I still recall,
What life was like before you made me fall.

You treated me great, don’t get me wrong,
But you make me cry each time I hear our song.
We loved each other, but family took you away,
But there’s just one last thing I need to say.

You’re hardly forgotten, don’t worry baby,
I keep dreaming of the day, when finally…maybe-
We can re-unite. And sing love’s words,
Just like you said, and live like two love birds.

But baby, I am not going to wait for you anymore,
If you want to, feel free to walk back through my door.
But the wait is over, I need to let you go,
I’ll search for someone, not let your pictures show.

You’re hardly forgotten, and never will,
You were my first love, my hearts chill,
When you need me, I’ll be here to hold you,
But baby I ain’t waiting anymore, I’ll start life anew.

Imprinted in pain, his hand swiped across her cheek!
As she stumbled to keep herself standing that night,
From the downpour of words said from their midnight fight.
She choked back tears and turned to run on legs so weak,
But the shimmer of the blade, made her stop and shriek.
His malicious stare shattered her heart with cold spite,
As the pirate stars shone on her still face so white.
The voices in her head, whispering soft and meek.

The bell tolled midnight as the blade slashed her torn heart - -
Silently chanting his long awaited good-bye.
The lost lullabies, slipping from beyond his lips,
And her soul slowly decayed from playing the part.
He blackened her eyes, as shattered hope slowly died.
Imprinted in pain, she said good-bye with a kiss.

A French Sonnet has the same structure and rhyme scheme as an Italian Sonnet, but the syllable count is different. A French Sonnet can only have 12 syllables per line, no more no less. And a rhyme scheme consisted in an octave of abbaabba and a sestet of cdecde or cdcdcd.

Falling to Pieces

Reflections shatter piece by piece
Crackling, split right down the drain
Edging towards insanity
Clawing quickly through numbing pain
Like a quiet puzzle abandoned to wait
Except that wait is a forever loss
Years grow heavier upon my soul
I'm past the line I shouldn't cross

Every thought enters a blackend coma
Preventing recovery from finding it's way
Digging deeper into my weaking core
Watching as it consumes it's helpless prey
That prey was me, a heap of waste
Made from scraps of broken debris
Curse you God and the Devil too
Finally everything turns against me

Stand there watching me falling apart
Stand there smirking at my distress
Stand there whispering words of death
Stand there hoping I regress
I won't join you in your merciful worlds
They will hate and spit me right back out
I'll create my own for every piece of me
Yes I'm finding my own separate route

I still remember the words you said to me,
its what you didn’t say that set me free.
Finally im alive after so long,
you dragged this fling on like a sad song.

I thought you were someone special, maybe even the one,
but finally my eyes opened to see I was all wrong.

Now I won’t look back,
and I won’t regret.
Because im glad its all over,
and everything I am going to forget.
Because this was just a path to lead me,
to the one I really want and that treats me right.

These feelings I have within,
are the feelings I often define.

Being the good ones...
that make me happy,
which usually brings out...
the character that is all sappy.

that make me lose control,
and always tends...
to eat away at my soul.

to understand their reason,

causing me strife...
