Im lost....

I just dont know what to do anymore. I think love does its best to skate circles around me. Always staying just in reach, but never letting me catch-hold. I'm not really sure if love is a feasible concept. Two people falling for each other and never wanting another. I dunno anymore. I used to believe in love. Maybe i still do. Maybe i just lost sight of what love truly is. Can anyone try and explain?

Unfortunately, we all must go through heartaches...some more than others, but we all experience some sort of heartache, whether we cause it or someone else caused it. I don't look at love as something I could give up on. It's love, it hurts, it cures, it comes, it goes. I'm not out searching for a soul mate, but I will be very happy and glad the day I do fall in love with another. Love is not something that can be pushed around or forced...It's natural...When you meet that special someone, I guess you'll realize all the heartache, all the drama, was all worth it...Without being hurt, experiencing a heart-break, you wouldn't be the person you are, or the person you will become. All we can do is learn and move on...I hope that helped...

Thats something I've heard before, but never really thought about when i heard it. I think my biggest problem is that i DO search. Everyone I meet i wonder, could this person be the one?
Am i passing up my future by not taking this chance? I'm scared of missing that right person because im "not looking."

Well, I don't really see anything wrong with searching, I have nothing against people who choose to. But I do think by actually "looking" you are opening your heart to more heartbreak. Once you meet someone you think you are compatible with, of course, I would suggest you approach her. Don't wonder, find out...By that I mean, why are you rushing? Take your time, befriend a girl, date her, go out on other dates, do whatever makes you happy....But don't expect love to come by only because you're ready...And to tell you the truth...If "Mrs. Right" passed by you, I think I'm almost certain you would notice her one way or another. You have not failed with love, you have just come across a few people who are a bad example as your soul mate....Falling in love isn't all you can do, live your life, enjoy your life, the day will come for you to meet that special someone.

I must say thats the first time I have heard someone give an alternative to falling in love. And a great alternative it is! Im really glad you answered back bittersweet. And I hope love is treating you well! :)
