It's a very good poem but I thought that I recognized it from somewhere and a quick search on the internet got me to the conclusion that it was written by somebody else...

    http://www.cantusquercus.com/9611text.htm

    http://www.tasgreetings.com/donotweep.htm

Those are two sites both saying that it was written by a Mary E. Frye in 1932. Now unless that happens to be a member of your family which I doubt since McCullick is your last name is it not? And the fact that you said your family wrote it meaning that it probably wouldn't be copyrighted (sp?) under just one person's name..It's not the exact poem though, but a few minor word changes is still against copyright if I am not mistaken...Now I don't know all of the situations but this is looking pretty bad for you after my having checked out this site:

    http://www.magicinterludes.net/snowyowlet/farewell.html

It says that it was written by Mary Frye when a friend of hers lost a close friend which is not what I believe you to have said when I read the poem. I don't mean to be mean about it but this is really looking like a copyright violation and either you need to do some serious explaining if it isn't or if it is delete the poem or I'll be forced to report it. Good poem though..though I doubt it is yours or even your family's...

Yeah no problem. I assumed there must have been some sort of misunderstanding there which is why I just didn't get all irritated and jump on you assuming that it was all your fault and that you stole it. I try to be understanding like that :). Glad to know that you didn't steal it, at least on purpose :P, but it's all good!
