Too young for love?

Is it possible to fall in love at a young age? I used to be very pesimistic. I thought love was just a mind game, and teens "in love" were just confused. But now my thoughts have changed. I believe i am very much in love (at the age of 16). I have heard people say that when your in love, you will just know. Well i know, it has to be love, theres no other way to descibe it. Now when i look at relationships that my friends have and around my school, i feel sad because what they feel for each other is not love. They may like each other but they dont know what it feels like to be in love with somebody. I think it is possible to fall in love at a young age, however not common. I get annoyed at the girls around me who go "I love him! I love him!" when they dont have a clue what true love feels like. I just want to get other peoples opinion on this. How common is it to find love at a young age?

16 isn't too young for some people.. I fell in love at 16 for the first time and was with him for 10 years, and had 3 kids with him.. It didn't work out, but I was very much in love with him

Well I am 16 and I'm pretty sure that I am in love right now. I have never known anyone my age or younger who's ever been in love like me. They just want the attention from others by saying that they have a bf/gf. But then I am not inside other ppls heads so I truly have no idea if they feel the same way I feel right now.

I am 15, I am in love, but age has nothing to do with it, it is about wisdon, thats all, the girl I love is soon turning 13, she is wise for her agem most what I know is from her.

It's rare, but possible. My cousin has been with her b/f since they were 13. They are now in seperate colleges and still together. They are very much in love.

I think you can fall in love at whatever age.
Love is an emotion and when your lucky enough to experience it, you know about it.
Even if young relationships don't last, i believe they could still have been in love... after all, there are so many types of love.
Who are we to say when we see a young couple. "It will never last." We don't know that.
There are some people who split up in their fifties! Does that mean it was never love?
I'm kinda off track now, lol.
Bottom line (in my opinion) Love is for everyone, regardless of age.

I have been dating my boyfriend since 9/8/05 and we are still together. I am 15 now and was 14 when we started dating. He was 16 but now is 17. I think that it helps in relationships with "maturity" women mature faster than men so 15 and 17 is a pretty good age in comparison of maturity. You must be somewhat mature and not ignorant to ever really grasp the concept of love. I believe that if you allow yourself to fall in love, its possible. My father tells me that because I am a teenager, I know nothing about love. That is not true because love is an emotion which we all have. Some experience it more than others but everyone experiences it. Love at first site is true also. It was weird with me and my bf. The very first time I saw him I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I only saw him. I only heard him. I felt weird. The second time I saw him talked to him and got his number and he got mine. I can't explain it. Love can not be described. Love at first site is possible too but sometimes we do not realize it then. I love my boyfriend. Love is possible for anyone at any age.

yeh love can happen at anytime i am 16 and i am in love with my boyfriend sure hes older but i do not care... his friend told me that he bought me an engament ring and he is going to propose sure im 16 but he is 20 and i love him so love can happen at anytime

love happens all the time, some people fall in love a billion times some people once, I wish I just fell once.....

In my opinion, falling in love is something that happens once, possibly twice in your life. Age has nothing to do with it, but a lot of times people confuse love and infatuation, or puppy love.

I've felt infatuation and i see how it could be confused with love but this is different....

i think love is a big thing. i'm 13 and i thought i was in love with a boy that is 16. but it only lasted seven months. but i believe you can fall in love at any age.

im fifteen...im very much in love and i couldnt imagine life without him! i truly think hes "the one". but love doesnt depend on age!

I fell in love when I was 13. I'm not kidding either. But, I only knew that I loved him AFTER we broke up, then I could look at it at a different angle and I saw that I loved him as much as my little brother. If your too young to love then how can you love your parents? It's never too young or too old so don't worry about it yet.

I'm only 14 and I really don't know if what I had you'd call love or not, but I thought it was. He said he loved me more than anything in the world and that's what I told him and I actually did love him. I think you can fall in love at any age. Some people may not think that, but I do. You just have to make sure the person you love loves you back so you don't get hurt like I did.
