I want to have a poetry contest about your faith. The contest will end on Oct. 6th, or when there are 20 entries (which ever comes first), and I will post the winners by Oct. 8th.

This allows one week for everyone to write a poem about their faith, religion, or anything along that line. Must be new

Jesus, You're my glory in the morning.
You're the Son that shines on me.
You're the rain that gently waters
Secret deserts in my being.

Peaceful moments shared with Thee.
Words of God to bind my soul
And make me walk in victory!

Manna from high to feed my soul.
Rivers flow from heaven's mountain.
Milk and honey deeply flow.

His Undying Love

I look upon the heavens for the answers I can't find
I'm sure someone is up there looking down on me
When I'm feeling lonely or about to lose my mind
Within his loving warmth, is the only place to be.

Sometimes, simple pleasures seem so far away
And even though I try to find the path to happiness
The road is fraught with tears that dampen every day
That leaves my soul searching for a quiet place to rest.

The trouble with a tired soul is the hardship that it sees
Within the realm of darkness it trudges on alone
Seeking for a bit of love and some simple company
And a humble little dwelling where it fits to call a home.

But when I look towards heaven with faith's undying love
And let God's hand caress my heart and seep inside my soul
It's only then that I can feel the hope I'm speaking of
Letting it cascade inside a life that's hurt and cold.

To feel the warmth of His sweet breath in everything I do
Reminds me that He's out there looking down on me
Giving strength to carry me in all I'm going through
With a promise of his love that lasts eternally.

I'll try this

If it is your religion and your belief then others should be mature enough not to get offended.

Whats this thing called love?
Please explain to me, these things i cannot bare..

How can i feel this way,
Like i can't make it through the day.
If you're there why can't you seem to help?

They say you made us all
But Then Why have you made us fall
How could you do this to those you say you love?

So heavenly father above,
Show me this thing called love,
For i have never felt this emotion before..

Are you who they say?
Are you able, to change my fate?
can you alter what i was 'destined' to be?

Take me away from here,
Help my thoughts to clear,
That is only if you truly are what they say.

the truth..
i can't stand,
not knowing what to believe..

what is real..
i must know
if you are what i perceive you to be......

This decision, must me made,
will you help me through the day?
