Innocence

The lamentations of Fall have disappeared,
The innocence of Winter is born,
Leaves disintegrating in presences of God,
The preciousness of Winter is here-by sworn.

Eight-thousand moons circle the emerging earth,
Pursuing light to see a sparkling treasure,
Of the plentiful moons against glorious snow,
Speaking of merriment, speaking of pleasure.

Snow so precious, a calling of names;
From earth itself, cascading,
Bringing memories of Angels,
Never forgetting, yet ever fading.

Setting comfortably amongst the earth,
Hugging the ground with helplessness,
Whispering to it, singing praise,
To the ground the snow will caress.

Eight-thousand emotions of the moon,
Talking to them guiltily, hangs over snow,
Whispering of their sorries,
As from the sky snow gently flows.

A beautiful sight, shining with joy,
Sharing stories of love and care,
Whispering of inspiring innocence,
Amongst the snow so bright and fair.

First Snow

It is winter
It is early in the morning
The last leaf just fell
Everything grows silent and waits
Waits for the first snow
It always happens once the last leaf has fallen

We wait for the snow to come
It starts at just a few flakes falling on us
Then steadily grows into a flurry

In just a few short moments,
The earth is covered in white

There is snow everywhere
Everything succumbs to the white
The trees, the rocks, even the water is turned white
Everything is so beautiful
So breathtaking

The sun is rising now
Lighting everything in sight
The fist snow has came and went

Bump

The Weight of Wind

Frozen hearts feel little pain, and the
frost on mine had once been yours. It
suffers deeply now, all thawed and frail.
It is sad how thorns outlive their flowers,
how leaves betray their trees. When left
by you, hope dwindled swiftly in me. All
is dark now, and darkness is a great foe,
one for whom we all serve. But I fear him
not. Too well do I know the sound of wind,
the taste of rain and the feel of grass.
All too well. I will never smile at them
again. But you. You took me to places
undreamt of. We kissed and the leaves would
fall, trembling at our passion. They died
and we saw it not. You gave me soul, as
the ghost of summer fled the shadows of
falling snow. In powerful storms, we burned
like suns. With your arms to cling to, I
withstood rising oceans and falling skies.
But now, my sweetest love, where have you
gone? Cold winds weigh greatly on me.
They never let up. For me, it will never end.

I do, but I am greatly inspired by the poems/songs of Aaron stainthorpe, and they mostly have this form.

You are one of the people whos poetry I look up to. You are so very talented. This poem you wrote here, painted a vivid picture in my mind. And as a lover of Winter, I pictured all stages of winter...and it really took my breath away. Never before had I read a poem this length and been able to completely picture winter at all it's stages. Great job Hunn, and keep it up!

Well, it is no wonder I was amazed by this piece as I am by all of your work. You are so young, and have such a talent. It amazes me. This poem, I loved, because that is the part of winter that is going on here right now. The flowers are gently being airbrushed by snowflakes and they are frozen still. I love it! Keep it up hunn.

I love acrostic poetry. It is amazing how much emotion can be said in such short poems, and I find them very hard to write. But, you did an amazing job on this one. You have been one of my favorite writers for a while now and this poem proves why you are favorited among most. You have a great talent. This poem, as well, painted a vivid picture in my mind. I could picture a blank canvas of snow glowing under the golden sun as tiny snowflakes fell down and it was silent. I loved it!
