Remember the voice of the soul's sweet caress
As it binds scattered pieces that are in despair
Let heart's wreckage find a safe shore to rest
And seek the comfort of those who still care.

As the soul drifts along on the ocean of hope
Let it's life be protected by the gentle sands
That meet with acceptance in which to cope
And give strength to the person that now stands

No longer a victim of the love that is gone
I stand strong in life's phenomenal breeze
Unworried of where I just might belong
Captured in dreams that come faithfully.

To all who's been wounded in love's torrid fight
Build your defenses with words left unsaid
Then carry them with you, hold them in your site
As you walk though the souls that's been left for dead.

Like me, you will find a kindred of soul's
To give you the aid of a helping hand

Victim Of Love

I thought that you were different.
You claimed you had faith in me.
I thought we'd always be together,
and that our hearts were each others to keep.

But you're no different then the rest.
My emotions you decided to test.
You lead me on, with your beautiful poems,
then you threw my heart away.

I guess I am a victim of your love
or at least the love you claimed you had for me.
I told you once that I gave you my heart and soul.
Now I ask of you to set them free.

I know that It will take a long time to heal
my jagged, invisible wounds.
But I'll do my best to be as strong as I can,
so that I'll fall out of love with you.

Yes. I've been a victim of your love
because while writing these words I can't breathe.
There is only one way to heal my heart,
and that's through prayer down on my knees

It's not my best, but I tried. lol

dont be sorry, it's over, whatever. we're "friends" now so i guess its ok.

Yesterday’s Gone

Finally I had someone, and we were together.
Happy, so I thought, we were birds of a feather.
However, things changed quick, we were through,
The next week together, you said, “I love you”.

We were together another week or so,
Went to homecoming, but the future I did know.
The following day you said it’s through again,
But we’d be sure to just be “just friends”

Yesterday’s gone, no more holding hands,
No more kissing in the football stands.
All that’s over, alone I am for now,
But I’ll find someone new anyhow.

I grit my teeth, and held back the tears,
Though loneliness is one of my fears.
A few days I was sad, didn’t want to go out,
I cried a lot, never smiled, constant pout.

After 3 days though, I can smile and say,
You weren’t a good boyfriend anyway.
You barely called, and ignored me when with friends,
So my “friend” this is where our story ends.

Everything happens for a reason, as they say,
I guess the lesson I learned will find me someday.
You were just a boy, and it was just a fling,
Though not to me, I was just your plaything.

But yesterday’s gone, no more moping about,
No need to cry, no need to always pout.
I’ve moved on, I’m too strong to cry,
I’ll find better, and you’ll wonder why-

You let someone as good as me get away.

Which Way Home?

My wheels keep turnin' down these old roads
As these sleeping cities are fading past
My foot's pressed down; goin' nowhere fast - -
Putting out this smoke, I should quit...I know.

My rear view is smashed; "there's no looking back..."
I mutter to the porcelain tears in my eyes
And maybe - - one day I'll believe my lies,
But for now; my mind is right on track.

The radio is cluttered with these old country songs,
As the faded mile markers come and go,
Miles ahead, and I know which way is home,
For Hollywood - - that's where I belong.

Your eyes have frozen even my fearless emotions
No words to be spoken..no more questions...
Throw me away now before i fall deeper
Hit me again as i become the pain-keeper

Where am I going?I cry as i shut my tears inside
My face is drained...I'll see you on the other side
With my blood running cold as i feel so weak
All my dreams are burnt...my spirit is sick...

I used to be so unbreakable among the endless nights
Now it's harder to breath between the scars of my fights
You go beyond my tangled feelings that seem to decay
Crash them with ur emptiness that deceives my last way....

Toward the end i see myself inside ur floating being
So many regrets now...i couldn't give u a meaning
I fade away taking all the promises and dreams
One night I'll be the one that in ur nightmares screams...

I Think I Lost My Headache

Black mascara runs across soft cheeks
Ruby lips shiver as sobs erupt inside
My whole world collapses around me
Today, a part of my heart slowly died..

Warmness explodes when you are near
Smiles emerge when you make a joke
Urges out of nowhere suddenly show
Your soft blonde hair, I want to stroke..

Gazing silently at you and another girl
Caressing her heart; like you did mine
Trying to conceal the pain I feel within
Wiping up tears; pretending I am fine..

A pastel colored face is carefully cleaned
A hearts pieces delicately put back in place
Emotions put back in their protected box
Wiping away my past; your love I erase..

Blessed to Be a Witness (option 2)

It was beautiful and magical,
Right out of some fairytale book.
It was you and me on the pages,
But now I just open and look.

My heart still races when I read it,
Knowing that I felt those things.
And even when I want to cry,
Only a smile can the pain bring.

'Cause at that point in my life,
Nothing mattered but me and you.
And though I'm here alone now,
This book paints a picture of two.

It takes me back to a happier place,
Where everything seemed so right.
And I can still feel it's power,
Consuming me through words tonight.

I've learned to fall and get back up.
I am a ways past moving on.
You were my lesson in heartbreak,
That broken hearts make you strong.

No hatred does my heart harbor.
In fact, I'm really doing fine.
As I am blessed to be a witness
For a love that once was mine.
