After 4 years of being a housewife I am rejoining the workforce. I'm going to be a maintenance engineer on water supplies. And no it's not glamorous, and no it doesn't pay well. But I've been going crazy working from home at a desk job and this is as good a job as I could hope for as it's driving (which I love) and it's in a largely rural area (again, which I love). |

I broke a customer's supply tap today. And it had to be a PITA customer, didn't it? :-( |

Yeah, loving it so far. Been working in some rural areas and with autumn finally putting in an appearance the views are breathtaking when the sun puts in a rare appearance. However, the trade-off is doing the same thing in the tenement zone of the city centre. But everything's rough/smooth. Otherwise it'd be boring. :-) |

Last week I drove up a road that started out clear and within a matter of a minute was thick with the acrid smoke of a plastic factory fire (that's a factory that makes plastic, not a factory made from plastic) that had to be photographed to be believed. And not 5 minutes later I was standing at a traditional dry stone wall under a clear blue winter sky stroking the warm, soft noses of three ponies that had come to investigate me as I flushed the crap from a hydrant. And on Friday I found the food that God eats in a side road in Chesterfield. And I got my own brand new van. :-) |
