this was actually suppossed to be the second part of one of my contests... but i decided to make it a different one. =]]

Write a **new** poem pertaining to nature,
about a
*time(ex. war time),
*era (ex. 70's, Grunge Era),
*age(in time OR age of someone),
*generation (Ex. Gen X, gen Y.. )
**etc

STYLE CHOICES-
Anything.. lol. i just wanted to write that you have to use a strict format other than freeverse, or a simple abab cdcd or aabb ccdd etc format.

so ask which style you want to use *FIRST*
Any other Questions Jut Ask.

And this will end umm in prolly like 2 1/2 weeks.

OoOoOoHhHhHh....lol sounds interesting...i might try to write one where every word rhymes or something...very difficult lol but i might try...even though this isnt a topic i would really like to write about lol...oh well i'll make an attempt

but please be warned...because its of this nature(no pun intended) dont expect it to be good...lol just warning you

Okay, would like to write a poem like the following:

Ottava Rima is a poem where the stanzas consist of eight lines each. Each line has a ten -or- eleven syllable count. The rhyming scheme for Ottava Rima is as follows:

abababcc
dededeff
ghghghii

For as many stanzas as you want. It is a simple abababcc rhyme scheme, but it has a very strict structure. If this is not okay, then let me know.

Also, would like to do it pertaining to 'age' as in the age of something in nature.

cause i think i may do that, i had it about nature b/c it was suppossed to be part two of a nature contest.. hrm..

I would love to enter because I like writing about nature. But I'm not to familar with the different styles. So It may take me some time to do some research ok?

Mother Winter

Inside the icy mind of Mother Winter
As she gathers strength from both frost and snow
Comes the calling of the night's sweet surrender
Scooping up the starlight as the cold winds blow
Into the rapture of the fading somber
She sees the snow cape gently as it goes
Over earth and mountains, like gems and treasures
She paints the canvas with a whitewash flow
She tarries through the blankets of time's cinders
As her hair cascades on this day of winter.
