help my friend chris!

last year in art class, a girl was really started to talk to my friend in art class with out any problems, me and my other friends thought the girl had interested, so later on my friend starts to like her, and he thinks she is really pretty. so he tends to stare at her alot during art class, The girl once asked CHris friends to see if CHris hated her, but she never answer the question why? CHris wonder is it cause of all the staring he does in art class. so suddenly she no longer talks to chris as much as before as she use too, Chris is to shy to speak to her, So Chris asked his friend to do a recon and find out a bit more about her, But one of Chris friend just tells the girl " Chris has feelings for you" but the girl answer " thats werid, i don't even know him that well" after hearing this response my friend felt werid, and he stop trying to talk to her
(so later Chris friends said he rushed it to much, scaried her off)

and then after summer, chris saw her at school, and pretends to not see her and quickly turn his head around, untill a day when chris in a open area saw each other, so he couldn't pretend to not see each other, and first 2 to 3 secs they saw each others , she kinda histently raised her hands and said hello, and Chris laugh out a little and at that moment they both said hello to each other, at that moment Chris was happen , cause he thought that they were over, but they can restart and become friends. Then later a few days it was the girl birthday(on that day he just found out it was the girl birthday) so when school was out, Chris told the girl happy birthday and the girl said thank you
and at that moment Chris was really happy and thought of the girl smile to be so sweet, so he was curten that he would start as friend and work his way up, so Chris wouldn't rush it. But he never thought about the next day when he saw her at school, when he saw her in a open place again, they walk toward each other face to face, her back was filled with sunlight, and the sunlight was in his eyes, so chris couldn't tell who the person was. and the whole isle there was only chris and the girl, and chris was curten that the girl saw him
but when he saw her , when chris was about to say hello, but only saw her looked toward the right side(when she was standing on the left side) her eyes ipen really wide and pretend to to not see chris at all
and because of that made my friend chris sad, cause chris thought they could be friends....

If she's going to be doing that, then maybe Chris shouldn't be wasting his time on her. There shouldn't be any "if's" about friendships. You're friends or you're not and there's no inbetween, and no "only when I feel like it". Tell him to hang in there and not to get discouraged, because someday he'll get a very special 'friend' who will appreciate him for who he is.

I think i understood that.
I don't think he should waste any more time on her, she seems to not be interested in him 'that' way.
