A bit... I know what it's like. Strangely, I don't cry so much anymore. Maybe I'm starting to heal. Occasionally I'll get relapses. |

i dont believe god exists but i don't deny he does either... so when i get really, really down i pray (just incase he's there) that I'll get run over or something. but that's exactly what you shouldn't be doing, since it makes it all worse. it's the snowball effect: there's one thing pissing you off, and then you think about another thing that sucks, and one more thing, until you can't think about anything good. and when I realize i'm doing that i stop myself and do the opposite. but it takes me a long time to finally decide to stop. i think of one good thing. and another good thing. and usually that's the part that makes me cry--because i don't feel the happiness at that moment and I miss it. But crying isn't necessarily a bad thing. sometimes it's good. when i cry i usually feel better later. one time, when I was in like 7th grade or something i was crying in the nurse's office at school and my friend was trying to make me feel better. she cracked me up saying "crying is like throwing up, when you're all done, you feel a lot better" or somthing like that. don't let yourself get worked up by thinking too much about sad things. you have to change your thoughts... i had a therapist who used to make me say something positive everytime I said something negative, which for me was all the time. if i said "i hate ______ because it's really annoying" i'd have to say something like "but i like ________" now im not so negative. if you practice that it helps a lot. |

I certainly do pray when I am down and out but I never ask God to take my life away, I never wish my life away. I ask him why me, yes, more importantly I ask Him for the strength to face and the knowledge to deal with what I am going through. I know God will never throw me any trials I do not have the strength to face...you should all know that too :o) |

We have problems because we pray when we are down?.... |

And you have a problem of judging people when you know nothing about them. People deal with pain in all different ways. If they pray to die, than so-be-it. |

The richest where just like others that aren't as rich have people living and dying on the streets everyday? Where there are homicides everyday? There are people being abused, people being raped, people being killed. Do you just turn a blind eye to them? Even the richest people, they have the money to be stable - but they have so many problems that they, too, wish to die from time to time. |

I am aware that every problem has a solution, but when someone is as down as to pray for God to take their life, their minds are clouded with other thoughts rather than a solution. I am sure that before, sometime in your life, you have done something before thinking of a better solution. And that is just like what people who pray to die while upset are like. |

It is coping. It is a different way of coping than what you think. I didn't say that you prayed to die as a solution, I am saying you used a solution that maybe other didn't agree with. You're turning everything I said around to make me look pathetic and wrong. Okay, be done. There are many different views on this and it wasn't going to come to one answer. |
