I'm really confused......

Okay. I have this friend named Josh and he's really sweet and funny and cute. I think I'm actually starting to love him. I told him and he said he loved me too, but he didn't want to start a relationship. He's 18 and I'm 14. He said he wanted to better himself before he started a relationship. So, do you think he really loves me or just said that to not make me feel like no one cares.

I think he just said it so to not hurt your feelings. I'm nto tryign to be mean by saying this, I just don't want you to read too much into it and get even more hurt in the end. He's 18, you're 14. I know you may be saying "what's age got to do with it" but it's that you guys are at completely different stages in your life. He's basically an adult, and you're still a child. Or, who knows. I could be wrong; he might really LIKE you, not love you, and just be waiting until you're older.
