if my friends hate this guy that i like, and i want to date/hang out with him, should i tell them and risk a fight, or just go with him without them knowing?

You have to tell them, they are your friends and they are more important than a guy. Personally, I think you should ask your friends why they hate this guy so much, perhaps there is a reason you shouldn't be with him.

Hun. I've been here before. You should tell your friends, but you have the right to hang with whoever you want. You could go behind their backs and hang with this guy, and ignore him around your friends, but that sounds really shallow....I would tell your friends and if they think less of you or tell you that they won't hang out with you if you talk to this guy, then they aren't very good friends. Tell them . I been there before . It`s best to tell your friends . Yu have the right to be with whoever yu wanna be with . But idk if they don`t support yu or want yu hangin` out with this guy, they`re not very good friends in the first place .
