Okay, so for cheerleading this year I really have to get in shape...and it would come in handy for badminton as well. But, I don't nkow what else to do! I already exercise daily, I walk around tons, I lift weights, I do yoga and pilates...pilates twice...once when I get home at noon, and then again before I go to bed. I eat healthy..I have fruits all the time, and vegetables everyday but not as much as fruits. I drink water...and when I drink pop, it is always diet and for juice it is always crystal light. But nothing I do works!!! Does anyone have any tips that they do to keep the pounds off or to get in shape? I really need to do this and it isn't working.

Are you overweight? If not, all you need to do is lift weights to tone. It takes time though. You can't just do it. You won't see the results you want after a short time. All you can do is continue to eat healthy, and lift weights, and walk. If you are patient, you will see results.

    Bob,

I will try speed walking, I do walk, but not speed walk, I will try it. I know even after an hour in the mall I get tired, and I speed walk in there so I will try it, thanks! And I've always wanted a punchingbag lmao, I know that would help me out with stress as well. Thanks for the advice.

    Punks,

I know it takes time. I used to be extremely overweight, I am not as bad anymore. I'm 140 pounds and 5'8. I dunno. I am being patient...I've been working out for over around a year and a half or so and dropped from 286 to what I am now but I still have some problem areas that I really need to get worked down for before competitions start up. Thanks for the advice!

Well firstly, what you're doing is great. With your height, you're not over weight at all, even if you do think you have chub or an uneven belly, maybe it's love handles? I don't know what your problem areas really are, but on a health scale you're doing prefectly fine.
And you are now my new hero for getting so far by the way. Hopefully your own success will inspire me to get off this silly chair! Haha. Keep well!

Ohh, good job for being so motivated!

My advice? I don't think that at 140 pounds you are overweight, especially since you are 5'8. But, that is up to you.

If you're unhappy with what you look like, then just keep doing what you're doing right now. Because it sounds like you are right on track.

If you want to speed it up, join a gym. Just tone yourself one step at a time. I was on cheer last year, and I know that it required a lot of strength, especially in stunting. If you're a base, then focus mainly on arms. If you're a flyer, focus on your stomach because you need to have it strong and tight to hold your weight.

Best of luck to ya! :)

Try jumping... dancing.. and martial arts works WONDERS!! Also wholegrains, and cut out the diet pop. I heard that the aspartame or other artificial sweeteners are just as bad, if not worse, than sugar.
