Friends and Love....

At the beginning of my 8th grade year my friend was in 7th grade and he started coming over a lot. He became my best friend in the whole wide world. I've liked him ever since the beginning of 8th grade and i'm not in 9th grade. I told him a few times last year over the computer and he didn't reply and I gave him a note and he didn't write back. He now has a girlfriend who lives in California, we live in Arkansas. I think I really love him, but he has a girlfriend. He LOVES coming to my house. He even told me and he loves hanging out with me. Do you think I should tell him I love him or what?

Well, if he has a g/f, you shouldn't mess with that. For now, just stick to being friends. If things don't work out with his g/f, that's when you tell him how you feel. You said he hasn't replied when you wrote him a note. He might just want to stay friends, keep that in mind.

I think it wise to wait and see what happens with his girlfriend. But apart from that, there is nothing anyone can say which should make you hide your feelings. Instead, just notice the following:

1) If he likes you (romantically), then he likes you.
2) If he doesn't, then he simply doesn't, and there's not much you can do about it.
3) Will it ruin your relationship? It shouldn't.

I once asked someone who was a friend out. They said no, and that was that. We didn't stop speaking afterwards, although at first it was a little awkward for me. But I got over it.

Notice too, that I am now not actually in touch with this person anymore. I chose to fall gradually out of touch. I still speak to them from time to time, but we are no longer really friends like we used to be. I did this for a few personal reasons, one was also just so I could get some closure.

Given the above, it shall affect your relationship if he says "no." Just to what extent depends on the both of you.
